Fright Nights - 2015

Recommended Posts

It's clearly stated that those are the 'first' of the dates, and even says that more will be announced. How did you come to the conclusion that's all there will be?

the car on the fountain was just for the commercial shoot. It's back in fountain mode now. Will change back for fright nights. An overturned car sitting on the fountain unnecessarily for 5 weeks would take away from the park entry. Good decision

I did not come to the conclusion that the 2nd/9th and 16th would be the only dates ? I said I don't believe the first three nights would be Friday nights and Fright Nights runs on every Friday AND Saturday night ( with the exclusion of the 30th and 31st) my guess is that those who did the commercial went by their free tickets ( as stated earlier).

Hey Guys! Has anyone seen or heard anything new about Fright Nights. If so what? :)

You mean since the dates announced on wednesday, and the snapchat teasers released up until friday?

you mean has there been anything new since friday, over the weekend, typically whilst the PR guys aren't working?

No. No there hasn't.

Certain things will get people's backs up:

  • posting rumors from the dippin dots guy, or from 'my sisters boyfriends uncle who works at the park'
  • asking questions that have already been answered in the thread
  • Asking for updates on a topic that only had recent news mentioned a few days previously
  • saying "i know what <X> is, but i can't say"
  • stating assumptions as fact
  • disagreeing with Robb Alvey on TPR pages and facebook feeds (but only if you're Robb Alvey)
  • ...

I'm sure there's many things other non-moderator members could add. I'm sure the Mods could add a few too. There are plenty of examples where everyone here gets along well, and enjoys good debate. Many people on here i've had more than a few run-ins with, who I now consider a friend.

There are also many more examples of people who are stupid. Tolerance level for stupidity is low here, and is generally reacted to with speed and fury.

Nature of online communities (almost) everywhere I guess.

What's dipping dots?

I'm new lol

Wan't he the guy that said started the whole Eureka topic, caused a certain member of these forums to do something dangerous and also ruined our overall reputation with the park? THAT BLOODY DIPPING DOTS GUY!

Oh right. Eureka/ Dreamworld. I see the connection.

Can I just make a small speech? When you guys go to Fright Nights, if an actor frightens you or interacts with you- please do not abuse the performers. Past years, I have seen guests abuse the performers  ( such as pushing, shoving, cursing etc etc) and IMO it's not wise, guys. Last year, I witnessed people getting escorted from the park and my bet is they were being stupid. I am not saying anyone on here would be foolish to do something like that but I kinda feel bad for the performers when they are just doing their job to entertain you. As I said, I'm not saying anyone on here would do that.

On another note, has anyone been to the opening fright in the past ? How busy is it?

Really don't think you need to emplore theme park enthusiasts to not abuse park employees. A lot of people here are ex-employees, and all of us have great affinity for what the parks offer. We may be critical of management decisions and isolated events, but I really can't see anyone here abusing a scare actor for scaring them...

I understand your point of view but I did say I don't think anyone on here would do that. So don't you worry :)

I'm at Movie World today, so I'll give you guys a little update. Let me just preface this by saying that this was all done within public grounds. No fences where jumped and no trespassing done. I have a set of ethics and I really didn't want to ruin my relationship with the parks. If this seems uneventful, then too bad. Break the rules yourself.

Firslty, the car on the fountain is gone and the fountain is operational.

Speakers are lined on the road to the studios

The facade of the maze in Intencity is clearly visible from the outside. Doesn't look to be much progress.

Door of Studio 2 is wide open, with the basic walls for the maze sitting outside.

An ambulance is parked in Main Street with small maze-like walls around it. This isn't a construction zone, but rather appears to be a part of a scare zone. Think the Barn at Horror Nights in Orlando about 2-3 years back.
