Dreamworld responds to Tiger Island footage

6 posts in this topic

Everyone in the media is trying to kick their boot into DW atm it seems, I mean I'd like to see how these people would fair in an enclosure with a wild animal that could kill them and that doesn't respond to nicey-nicey all the time, oh that's right, they'd be dead.

Bet the same people going on about Tiger Island are those who were going on about horse racing on Melbourne Cup day. Guess it is almost the weekend and at the rate they are going they will be back to complaining about Sea World by the weekend. Nothing like armchair activists jumping on the bandwagon and blindly following whatever is being complained about.

Think it is safe to say if the park was mistreating the animals there would be little chance they would still have them nor would any organisations affiliated with the saving of tigers have anything to do with the park.

Big difference between conservation-promoting Tiger Island and breeding/destroying animals for the sole purpose of gambling.

The thing is animal rights people would say 'No difference between racing and breeding animals that are to be kept in prisons and abused soely for entertainment'

The reality is that the closer you get to theme parks or zoos the more you realise that everyone is in it because they love animals.  The closer you get to racing the more you realise that people are in horse racing because people love horses.  Go down to the track at 5am and find me one person who dislikes horses.  Horse racing is a bigger industry so there may well be a few dodgey trainers, but I would not trust animal rights people to tell me about the racing indsustry and anyone who does is a fool.

Incidentally this facebook page is well worth a like and a share:
