  2. I’m actually quite impressed with the overall presentation of the ride TBH. Though nothing groundbreaking, it’s definitely much better than I was expecting and is a big improvement on how it was presented at WNW. The additions of the statues, tunnel and lighting package are all really nice touches and I appreciate that MW went to the effort of adding them, as they really enhance the experience. I’m usually not a fan of 2d printed sign comic book “theming”, but given the circumstances, I think it kind of works in this case.
  3. @DaptoFunlandGuycould you show me a few examples of a "good" polo? I am unfamiliar with polo's but I agree they should get some
  4. Yeah the ones I got here aren't the best examples but imo the best shirts and designs in general should be nice and simple. Consist of 1-5 Color's And be a timeless design. The first design example you have here isn't bad but it's not an original logo. It's a generic template Taronga Zoo and many other places use the same one. And the leviathan shirt is just plain ugly. Way to much going on. I don't think many people would wear that. It's just not cool. we also need more ringer shirts. The 50th Anniversary dreamworld logo (though simplified to just white, black, blue and red 👌🏻) on the white ringer with red rings is my favourite shirt in our parks atm. Simple timeless design on a ringer. I couldn't find a photo and it's not on the DW merch website but it's still in park.
  5. that’s what eltororyan seems to have heard is occurring from his sources. he didn’t say the part, but he doesn’t expect it to be open anytime soon as zamp engineers it again.
  6. Which has led to significant fatigue in the wheel bogies...I hope to be wrong but i think this may be a substantial closure with a re-design/re-engineer component.
  7. Not good, when all the reviews I've seen have been positive.
  8. Rumour has it that the train rattles too much in the launch and the train is contacting the launch equipment, which has a pretty narrow margin of clearance. It was rubbing on the the launch modules causing it to slow, and not clearing the tower. No official source, just chit chat amongst different groups i've overheard. take it with a few chips of cedar and some salt.

  10. Sustained The Flash has been doing technical rehearsals, since 2007. 🤔
  11. Look i'd prefer they have more ride specific merch. Heck, last time I went to knott's they had 'new' merch featuring all of their 'former' attractions. For their 30th anniversary, MW released a T-shirt with things like gremlins and stuff on it and i've seen a lot of those shirts around... Here's what i'd like to see (in some semblance of priority): Polo Shirts. Good quality, decent array of sizes, comfortable to wear in a dri-fit fabric or dye-sub design. Full colour artwork\design, or more of a golf-polo with just the small logo. Honestly, i'd buy the whole set if they did one for each ride \ colour. ZIP UP Hoodies. With pockets. Hoodies without zips are a pain in the ass. Hoodies without pockets also. But don't go overboard with designs. one or two in the park is fine - by all means do one a bit more plain \ black \ masculine, and do another that is more colourful or feminine. His and hers are definitely a thing that will sell more than one. Doing one for every DC character is overkill. Release a new one every year, retire an old one. Ride specific products - and not just the same drink bottle or keyring with a different logo on it. Make each thing unique, or something different about it. In the same vein as number 3 - try to tailor your offering. Wild West should have old school curios. metal objects, wood objects. the kind of thing you'd see in the old west. Oz can have kansas-y olden stuff and whimsical colourful oz stuff. Superman is set in metropolis, don't forget it. Importantly though don't over-design it and end up offering a $450 item that will gather dust. It has to fit in the affordable category to move the volume. Never thought i'd be in the camp, but spirit jerseys. Bought one in Hong Kong and i'm a convert. they're lighter than a jumper, loose fitting and comfortable. you can have the same style but release a new design every year and it will keep selling. Yes they are different enough to hoodies that I know I personally would buy both. This one is a long time coming - but a specialty food item or two. To do this, you need a food outlet that produces something popular, that has a signature addition - like a burger with a special sauce. Maybe for Oz they do a Kansas-style chicken wing, and they have Toto's Wing Sauce. custom label it and sell it in the gift shop. Nanocoasters or Cutouts are cool and all. I'd like to see them, but I acknowledge they're pretty niche, but even if they did limited runs of things, or a pre-order or something, I know a lot of fans of the park would order.
  12. They definitely need better merch, but those shirts looks more like early 2000’s merch for a local laser tag place. The best reflection of what the parks need, IMO, are designs more akin to these (maybe not in exact style, but effort/level of design).
  13. I was the only non-staff member on/near the cycle, and nobody was expecting to happen, so I doubt it was purposefully triggered.
  14. Even just general Warner Bros. Movie World merch is super limited. There’s plenty of WB merch and as you say, general Looney Tunes and DC merch, but that’s about it. A lot of what they’ve got is good too, but it’s not related to the theme park itself, it’s all IP
  15. Absolutely preposterous. They've all done their training. They've all worked a hard day on a new attraction. The last thing they're going to do is intentionally cause a fault when its time to knock off. Don't be so absurd.
  16. Village have pretty bad offerings for merchandise. Of course they got the DC stuff and Loony tunes but as far as actual "MovieWorld" stuff and stuff for their rides it's very poor. The DC rivals joker head shirt is probably the best they have? I am mainly focusing on T-shirts at the moment but it would be nice to have other stuff as well. What shirts would everyone like to see? I quite like these designs. (Credit to Chryslerlover on reddit)
  17. I wonder if they triggered this on purpose so they could ‘practice’ an evac. Since it was the last ride of the night and wouldn’t delay any guests waiting in the queue, it makes sense they would practice them so they become efficient when it does happen
  18. Forgot to post this in the chaos that was yesterday (for me), but FotWW’s castle has begun construction, as viewable from Flash’s exit.
  19. It's a relocation. It was meant to be temporary\filler for scooby. It's opened much later than planned, and probably cost more too. It's not the show-stopping new attraction set to open this year. I'm quite happy for them to go skint on this thing. the best visuals are the fact that superman is all around you too - we finally get to watch SE from inside the helix as well. I don't want a bunch of themed tunnels or some shit blocking the view. If WOz turns out amazing, i'm totally ok with Flash being this way.
  20. exactly, i’m just happy (weird thing to be happy about, i know) that i got to experience a full one cause i was so close on levi opening day lol
  21. Don't wanna get too excited cause it's just concept art but man, that looks sick
  22. And this is exactly why soft openings are so important. This is what we like to hear! Hopefully it’s not just new ride things and it continues
  23. Update: Got on last ride of the night, and got evac’d lmao. Only other people on it were staff (great people running it rn btw, real enthusiastic & rather quick too), and they said that was the first stoppage of the ride they’ve had to deal with. My un/luckiness from Levi’s opening day (was also on last train, nearly got evac’d but it was able to advance to station) persists.
  24. SW ran out of time to soft open Levi @Tricoart High quality theming that is. 🤢
