  1. Discovery Kingdom for me. Superman Ultimate Flight, Medusa and Joker put it ahead of Great America. Gazza has a good reason to return for Joker. The first couple of drops are great and the ride doesn't really let up until the brake run.
  2. Well it isn't like they have anything else announced for this year so they have to have something opening on Boxing Day.
  3. Got through page two and wondering what the fuck was being discussed as I had honestly forgot. The rendering was good for a idea of what's happening with the layout before construction started but given what's happening as more of the coaster is built all I will say is don't take it as accurate anymore and just be careful if you do treat it as accurate.
  4. For a flat ride or something not a coaster I don't see an issue with an elaborate storyline and pre-show however with a coaster would you want to go through the same pre-show everytime you ride it?
  5. Get Out is one I am not really sure how they would turn it into a maze as it isn't exactly the most suited to one. I agree with IT being one of the more likely movies if they were to base one on a current/upcoming movie.
  6. Shame the Sydney park doesn't have heated pools and slide.
  7. Twisted Colossus for me. Not the tallest, longest or fastest coaster but it is a hell of a lot of fun and something that has a high re-ride factor.
  8. Ride Scenic Railway at Luna Park Melbourne then complain about Hot Wheels. I am sure @Noxegon and others will back me up in saying Hot Wheels is smooth in comparison.
  9. That's why there is this https://www.parkz.com.au/about/guidelines Getting back on topic going to have to agree with the sentiment that we wont see anything major for a while yet and the company doesn't look to be spending up on a new attraction. Whilst it may sound simple I don't think the removal of the rapids will be exactly cheap especially if they want to do it properly. That being said the ultimate win/win situation would be the removal of the rapids with the announcement of a new attraction.
  10. Claw, giant crab themed? Ok, I'll give you that one but however Drop is an oil rig. Wipeout being wiped out surfing a wave. Tailspin a sea plane. Not really that hard to join the dots. Hell Tailspin even has a plane in the themeing. It's been said many times here before but now is the time to build something big to draw people back to the park. Just make sure they announce and market the shit out of whatever it is. A new attraction is something a park should be shouting from the rooftops about not remain silent about when things are obviously happening.
  11. Interested in your thoughts on Twisted Colossus.
  12. Agree after seeing the coaster in person I agree with @djrappa that the colour of this coaster is great. The park would be crazy to repaint it especially after installing the pieces. If they were going to repaint it would have been done before the track pieces were installed.
  13. Why replace the LSM when it would be the control system itself that requires the upgrade.
  14. Looks about normal for when a parade is on.
  15. Looking at supports in the area today it is twisty hill into turn (similar to what Superman has). Connection plates don't match what would be needed for a roll.
  16. I remember that morning and amazing to think how long ago it was filmed. Compared to that day think it is safe to say all launches on ToT are "slow launches".
  17. Did Magic Mountain around the end of May/early June last year, found I didn't need the Flash Pass to get things done. Also a risk of X2 not opening (as happened during my first visit) so consider that before pass purchase.
  18. Because unlike the park in Sydney they don't have around 5 months which they can go through and perform maintenance on it if needed. Don't see why the wave pool is being treated different to any other slide/attraction at the park when it comes to maintenance.
  19. Must have their marketing department doing the maintenance schedules now based on what I am seeing.
  20. Ironically the only laminated pass I have is for Dreamworld. Village and Six Flags Memberships are both hard plastic cards.
  21. Best entry staff I have encountered were at Disneyland. The fact they say hello and welcome you to the park (even use your first name due to it being associated with the pass) sets a good tone for the day.
  22. Just go to your local show when it comes around if you want to pay to get in then keep paying to do rides and food. I have no interest in going to a permanent park that charges you to enter then charges you again if you want to do anything.
  23. Can't see it happening, my source? Moose out the front told me...
  24. Guessing you haven't been into a JB in the past few years as most of them now have a decent amount of floor space dedicated to appliances.
