  1. I don’t believe so. Can you just repaint transparent fibreglass or is it a more complex process compared to all of the other slides in the park?
  2. @New display name got to start somewhere
  3. In response to your first answer: So this seems like they did this:
  4. 6pm to Midnight! Impressive. Have noise restrictions recently changed for DW because they used to only be able to operate rides until 10pm?
  5. Not saying you’re wrong, but I can’t find anything in the FY24 presentation that states this? The website does still say they’re getting new cars too
  6. Huh? Murrissippi Motors is brand new? And they’ve bought new vehicles that are electric and will keep riders in the car so they can’t jump out.
  7. The park have shared a testing video https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBirlO8t8_6/?igsh=NmJocThzenZ2NWox
  8. I’ve been wondering the same thing, but also, what was wrong with the existing first aid building? Because they essentially just swapped locations! There is a chance that building was having issues and needed to be removed and it did also mean they would finally remove the thatched huts. But was it all necessary? Don’t get be wrong, the new building looks pretty decent (don’t love the colour scheme, but that’s a personal preference) and having an arcade next to the kids area is likely going to bring in a greater return for the park. But I’d argue that money could’ve been used a lot better to build a new kids ride or use those funds to go towards refurbishing the entire kids area because right now it’s very tired.
  9. To summarise, the park is opening May 22, 2025 and tickets go on sale October 22.
  10. This ride has been disappointing for about a decade now. They fix things, but then other things breaks. But the boat bottoming out is definitely the worst part of it all and makes the ride experience very unpleasant.
  11. Arcades are designed to rip people off, so of course when you mix that with a theme park of course it was going to be stupidly price. They’ve got to pay for that shiny new building somehow.
  12. It’s been updated again. Little Rippers is apparently tomorrow, Temple of Huey is now next Saturday and Triple Vortex is mid December.
  13. The arcade officially opened today Photos: Jaggs Journeys
  14. I’m sure they want to make the whole park look like Rivertown, but Rivertown is the newest land so of course they’re going to make it as good as possible. Disney’s Animal Kingdom built Dinoland USA, but that doesn’t mean they should’ve cheaped out on Pandora so there was ‘consistency’
  15. There is the argument less is more, but DW are consistently putting on additional events every school holidays (that are free with admission), while across the road only do it in Summer and Easter. While I would agree the quality of these events might not be the same as MW's, at least they are offering something 'extra' for locals and tourists. If these overlays weren't on, would we miss them? Probably not, but I'd rather have something than nothing. That's providing it doesn't detract from the everyday park experience, which I don't think they do. Most of these overlay events have been happening for a couple of years now, so there will come a time when they will need to mix it/refresh them, but that applies to every event at all the parks (looking at you Carnivale & all Halloween events)!
  16. Parts of the track have been wrapped up to protect it from the construction of the vintage cars circuit. And I don’t think the train was installed onto the track until after the track had been wrapped. I’m sure DW will be posting content of the train completing its first circuit when it happens, so I think it’s safe to assume it hasn’t happened yet.
  17. Unlikely. If there were issues they would’ve likely been resolved sooner. Because of the scale of the plane, they were likely removed to prevent them being damaged or to provide greater access for the plane’s installation. It wouldn’t surprise me if this track has already been reinstalled.

  19. All very true! But I can’t imagine Jungle Rush will need that amount of testing as it won’t be reaching speeds or forces anywhere near that level. Big Red Boat Coaster opened a couple of weeks after testing began. Obviously a different scale of coasters, but you get my point.
  20. Not at all the case. Jungle Rush is already testing and the temple still isn’t even closed up yet. It might not be doing full circuit testing, but it’s doing station and maintenance transfer testing, which is all a critical part of the process. Kansas Twister has started testing at Movie World and that’s certainly not done.
