Whitewater world reopens today and it seems after several years of closure the Triple Vortex will be open this season. I also can’t find anything that says the two speed slides on Fully 6 are still closed, so maybe they’re reopening too? The Green Room will however be closed for a little longer, but the park has been transparent on their socials and via email stating: Our attractions will be ready for you to dive into, excluding The Green Room which will remain closed for now. Our engineering team is working on essential upgrades to the main water pumps to ensure the attraction delivers the highest standard of fun and reliability we hold. Your safety is always our number one priority. By taking the time to get this right, we’re making sure every moment at WhiteWater World is not only exciting, but also safe and dependable. Thank you for your understanding and get ready for an amazing season of slides, waves and water-filled adventures at WhiteWater World!

Janes Rivertown Restaurant now shut on weekends

Has anyone been to the markets recently? How are they nowadays and what are the crowd levels like? -

themagician replied to Vidgamer's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I did always think it was going to cause potential issues and would potentially become a deterrent to food truck owners long term if they felt that Jane’s was taking away their customers. I think it was great to have Jane’s open at night for those first few months because it was new and exciting and was a way to show off the new venue and land. And maybe during school holidays/night events hosted by the park it would be great to have open, but on a weekly basis with the night markets probably isn’t necessary. -

Dreamworld - Something big is coming
themagician replied to DaptoFunlandGuy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Because of this But I think if this reincarnation of the show goes well this year (which I think it will), it will last 3-4 years. The park always did well when the show was airing because they offered experiences like meeting evicted house mates, photo op in the big brother chair, mercy and when the show ends, walking through the house. It’s a no brained for the park to take advantage of this opportunity, especially when they’ve been investing so much into the park and they want to show it off!- 128 replies

Dreamworld Maintenance Schedule 2025
themagician replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Loosing an attraction for the show is a shame, but the events space is only used for ice skating, a wiggles show once a year and a very occasional boxing match for the night markets. 90% of the year that building is unused, so I see it as a positive to use it for the house. Really puts the house in the park and opens them up for opportunities to promote the show heavily in park and potential house tours in the summer (without the kilometre hike to get it to) -
Dreamworld Maintenance Schedule 2025

Gold Coaster was supposed to reopen next week, so either something has gone majorly wrong or the rumours that Big Brother will be on the expansion area behind WWW are true. BB is returning in November and will air for 4-6 weeks, having a loud coaster operating next to the show wouldn’t be ideal, so it’s reopening aligns with that. They have also fenced off the entire back corner of the park after Tailspin, which is allowing them to do some work inside the Entertainment Centre. -
@Ashley Jeffery I asked park management about the shows removal and whether it would ever return and it won’t. It was very very expensive to run because of the care and requirements for the sheep. And when the park is trying to reduce overheads (while not compromising the guest experience), we won’t be something like that return.

Dreamworld have revealed this morning that their former Corroboree is being rebranded into WILD with Australian Geographic. https://www.dreamworld.com.au/our-worlds/wild-with-australian-geographic/ You’ll find the heart of Australia here in WILD with Australian Geographic, where native animals and natural landscapes come alive. We’ve proudly partnered with Australian Geographic to celebrate conservation, education, and the animals that make Australia unique. The former theatre is also returning with a new cinematic experience by Australian Geographic called 'Our Country'. It's great to see this area of the park getting some love and hopefully it leads to more refurbishments and improvements. They have been improved Goldie's exhibit recently and the addition of the new Bilby house a couple years ago were great. I know recently the damaged netting over the former aviary has been removed, so giving areas like this some attention to improve the animal and guest experience would be great to see.

Movie Worlds Upcoming 2025 announcements
themagician replied to Smol bean's topic in Theme Park Discussion
My gut feel is this will be the case (or similar vibes with a different name). I assume they’ll have this new show ready for the Christmas holidays and if they were to change the theme of the show dramatically (ie Mad Max) that would require a full set rebuild. When the show changed from Police Academy to the original HSD it took 9 months. We are now less than 4 months away from Christmas and a rebuild isn’t going to happen im that time. I’d hope for some changes to the set, but nothing overall significant. -

To be fair, the coaster did close almost a month early because a car valleying, however if Superman and Flash didn’t close as well, I definitely wouldn’t have thought they would be opening the coaster almost a month early

Superman Escape at #movieworldaus is currently experiencing a closure. During this time, our team are working with the ride manufacturer in Europe to build, deliver and install the highest quality replacement parts. 🤔Did you Know? While this process takes time, it ensures that when Superman Escape returns, it does so with the highest level of safety and performance. 💚 Further Attraction Updates! Our incredible maintenance team have completed Green Lantern Coaster’s annual maintenance ahead of schedule, and we’re excited to share this attraction is now open for guests to enjoy again. ✨Plus, later this year Australia’s no.1 family coaster SCOOBY-DOO! Spooky Coaster is returning to the park, we will be opening a new dining experience and also something that will blow you away with an all-new entertainment offering to be announced soon!
