Agreed. I guess we should all consider "Would I speak to that person like that, face to face" before posting. Especially given as from the guidelines The Parkz Forums are not a strictly real time discussion environment such as chat rooms. Here you have time to properly construct your thoughts into full and meaningful sentences.

Thanks alot! I've got that bloody song stuck in my head now! You're off my Christmas card list 😋

As I said before, the winch system is the limitation. The few times I've ridden it in two train operation, we've normally ended up either slowing or completely stopping entering the section with the catch car. To me that part of the ride should be quickly taken around the police car and latched onto the catch car as quickly as possible. Not twiddling our thumbs waiting between "it's superman" and "alright folks....." whilst the system catches up. Adding blocks won't improve throughput, it will just lengthen the ride time and increase maintenance (extra train, extra sensors etc).

Even if you had a longer track, the main restriction would be the reload time for the winch. Only so fast it can reset.

Filming a race between a bogan and a race car driver. Driving a quad buggy around. Bit of slap stick with the police. Fire ball crash. Very light on stunts, got nothing on say police academy.

They could also apply some projection mapping to the room, for effect. -
Wet 'n' Wild Gold Coast - August 2018

Leave everything but the car key & some cash back in the car, and enjoy the park. Makes for a more enjoyable day I've found. -
Not going to help with this particular circumstance, but for historical QLD images, go to https://qimagery.information.qld.gov.au/ You can select suburbs, or even sections of the map. It will then search and report back any aerial's it finds. There are some good ones of the Studio's, then Movie World under construction, then complete on there. Haven't checked out the other parks.

I'd keep the tower, run a launched coaster at it along the TOT right of way. Up into a loop (or banked turn) that took it over the railway as and run it around in the old water storage/mine ride area. You'd probably have to run it up to where the station is now to turn around though. But the new station could be closer to the tower with a modern launch system, moving the noise away from the Tigers. My 2 cents.

Maintenance on the machines is probably higher than the syrup cost. -

To the 'farm' of course. Times are tough, have to source lamb from somewhere 😂 -
Any noticeable differences in the track profile?

Because it allows the NIMBY's to get involved, drag the process out and consumes funds.

'Thunder River Rapids' Incident - Story On 'Sunday Night'

Did the request come from Kim perhaps, as part of the healing process? Ardent would struggle to refuse a request from a family member. There might have been a psychologist off camera for all we know, funded by Channel 7 of course. -
As above, stay near the MRT. We stayed on Sentosa, and the hotel had a shuttle to VivoCity (HarbourFront station). That in itself was a pain, as we where on the end of the line. I'd visit Sentosa from a city base if I went again. We missed most of Gardens as it too so long to get there by public transport. The Zoo, it's a long way by public transport. I'd cough up for a cab, at least as far as the final bus to the Zoo. In 2013, most shopping centres didn't open till 10am, to the point even most lighting wasn't on but you could walk through them. Breakfast options where limited too (this was VivoCity). Our son was just 3 at the time, so we kept him on the Brisbane schedule (nap at 12pm Bris [10am Sing]) then ran him flat out till he crashed in the evening. That got us around the 10am start issue.

It's probably one of the highest force areas of track, so this might be to see what has changed after 12 months, and work out a longer term maintenance schedule from there. This was only the second Mack Hyper, and Flash has a different first element in comparison. Probably wrong, but that's what I think might be happening.

The strapping will be to stop the supports moving whilst the track sections are out, which is now obvious from @themagician pictures from today. The whole track would be under some tension, especially during the colder mornings as steel contracts when cooled. The endless chains that are part of the strapping setup can then be used to align the supports when the track is reinstated. I am assuming those sections are removed to check for wear, and possibly new bolts as they would be stretched from the upwards force (air time)?

Future Dark Ride at Dreamworld

If it means getting whacked in the nuts at least once per ride, I'll be giving it a miss!😅 -
I vaguely recall there being something setup in the 'green area' when I was on Arkham early this week. Fright Nights doesn't interest me so didn't pay much attention to it. The new PD Online either hates me, incompetent operator, or there is nothing on it. Can't find anything using Lot & Title or Entertainment Rd, Oxenford.

I've seen where it says rides until 9.30pm, with queues to close earlier to ensure ride stops on time.
-
Answer is: Busy-ish. 3x rivals, 2x Arkham, 1x superman in three hours. Though with superman I skipped 60% of the 45 minute queue (I was near the pillars) when they called out "single rider" and I was the only one. Main car park full at 1pm, with 30% of the gravel area near Rivals parked on.
