  1. at this point the costs of running and maintaining DD would be severely higher then the return on investment. spending large chunks of money to maintain rides like Scooby, WWF and Superman makes sense as they’re crowd favourites and always pull long lines but Doomsday rarely has a line and considering the low throughput that’s saying something. you could just theme the new ride to Doomsday or a new villain that’s taken over the city. anything would be better then their current situation.
  2. Doomsday’s already had its first breakdown today with guests stuck on board, it appears to be reopened now however. It’s sad they’d rather have a barely functioning ride still be in service then admit that they made a mistake with the model and rebuild with a new ride type.
  3. the building is most likely just being used for random storage until they demolish it, i do wonder what the station looks like now years later.
  4. Gingy’s is staying, it’s apparently not getting removed.
  5. the first support piece has gone vertical, I'm surprised they didn’t just do it all at once like SurfRider’s construction as well as it’s deconstruction. Jaggsjourneysau
  6. maybe they saw positive results in the Marvin ride and are already investing in a new kids ride? either another small kids flat or a little kids coaster to balance out RRRC. I will say i’m surprised Speedy is still there after all these years being next door to JDS.
  7. it seems like you’ve worked within every industry in a lot of different department that always somehow relate to a very specific topic. anyways, in all honestly guests don’t care about a sticker or a wrap, it won’t make them not want to return when they know somethings coming. A sticker with a barcode across a couple of the walls is fine, they still could do more but for what it is it’s fine. Guests will definitely care when 2/5 coasters are open in a park with a bunch of other rides closed, then a blank wall.
  8. it’s a temporary wall that’s going to be up for a couple months, it’s not that deep. The plain black looks a lot better then the fake greenery walls, or the fencing blocking off the WoO area. It’s also only been up for a couple days, they could do anything to the wall but that’s not their main priority right now, the main priority is restoring the entrance to provide guests with a great entry experience in the future.
  9. i don’t believe it much either, but rumours are rumours i guess. I would love if they replaced the OTSR’s with lapbars or soft straps tbh.
  10. I know this is a weird topic for this but in relation to the above post, this screenshot had been uploaded onto facebook in a screen recording form (linked below) so do with this as you wish. There was also supposedly a page up about the SurfRider relocation so if this is true i’d expect an announcement soon. I’d take it lightly until it’s been confirmed. TPSN
  11. the current trains have been stripped so they can be rethemed, which sadly means there’s little chance for the ride to get SFC trains which is a big missed opportunity imo.
  12. could Surfrider be constructed and commissioned in time for the event? it would make sense to open a new DC coaster in a DC event, could it be why they swapped the events around? or is it impossible to get the ride open by the holidays.
  13. Arieforce was having some issues and was down a couple days from what i’ve heard, Iron Gwazi has been having a couple issues and been down a bit, Lightning Rod is still having issues even after replacing the wood with I-box track.
  14. Leviathan is a much better fit for the park then an RMC would be. The maintenance needed for the ride is worth it considering the ride experience and how well it works for the park, they could look at RMC in the future but not now. RMC also aren’t the most strong and reliable manufacture yet, i can’t see a park here wanting to take a risk with a new established manufacture.
  15. I do wish it was a different colour scheme too, I would prefer if it was yellow / gold track with red supports and a Wonder Woman Theme, it would stand out and be a different colour to anything in the park. The rumour was that the ride was a “flash skateboard ride” so with these colours I'm going to assume that is still the case. I wonder when we’ll be getting an announcement for the ride though, they’ve already started construction, teased it 3 months ago, and track is now on sight.
  16. It’s a yellowy gold colour, the red has been blended into it by the looks of it. The person who took the photo also said it was gold, im guessing it’ll be a flash themed ride like what was rumoured.
  17. SurfRider’s track has now been repainted Red and Gold. Jaggsjourneysau
  18. Does anyone know if Superman’s ride uniforms will be staying or are they going too, they really do add to the experience. I will say from what i’ve heard staff aren’t very happy with this change either, the old uniforms were a lot more comfortable while these are more skin gripping, i can’t tell how well the coloured pants will work in certain departments either but they do look nice.
  19. respectfully, I can tell this is going to turn into 3000 pages of you trying to prove you’re right by saying the same thing over and over again, even when no one agrees, but you wont stop due to your superiority complex. @Dean Barnettgive it a rest, we’re all tired of it.
  20. I heard the exact same thing and that the turntable will be indoors (in animations you can see a cave so i’m guessing the ride would go in there, go through the turntable then come back out a different side.) If this is the case, it would just be the one general line as either way you’ll be travelling backwards and forwards during each ride cycle just at differing times to the last cycle. I can’t wait till this ride starts construction so we can see what it really is as there’s so much mystery around it currently.
  21. i understand i was just letting you know the curse thing was mainly said as a joke. you may not have heard about some of their rides unreliability but we have been pretty blessed with the intamins here as excluding Doomsday they are pretty reliable so that could be why you haven’t heard about it, but it is a running joke atleast within more of the international community.
  22. first of all, the “curse” was a joke… i mentioned two ride designs as i don’t need to mention every single ride design from the company that has had issues to get my point across. no one is bashing or tearing down a company just because some rides are unreliable doesn’t mean the company is bad.
