  1. Intamin does have a reputation for some pretty unreliable rides that a lot of enthusiasts (specifically from America) joke about. They aren’t a bad manufacturer however some of their rides are unreliable wether it’s due to high complexity, large amounts of stress on the track or whatever. In recent years their attractions have become a lot more reliable compared to their older rides like Xcelerator, Dragster, the Prefab woodies ect. It was just a joke though.
  2. more track has arrived for the Vekoma SFC. I really can’t wait till these coasters go up so we can see the theming start to take shape, when does everyone think vertical construction will start? my guess would be July/August. (Jaggsjourneysau)
  3. i really don’t get what makes Doomsday so unreliable, mechanically it doesn’t seem that complex and it really doesn’t do much, the Intamin curse strikes again. Im going to guess they’re waiting for a part or something, im betting it’ll be closed 180-200 days this year.
  4. none of the current vekoma SFC’s with this layout are able to run two trains so i doubt that they would.
  5. I definitely don’t think they should have the pre-show (if there is one) for the ride in the station especially since the ride is only able to run one train, and during busy periods they’re going to have to pump the train out as fast as possible. What if it took place just before you enter the station? while the train is being loaded, the next group is let into a room 2 behind each door (acting as air gates), pre show takes place as the ride is going then once the train is emptied, the doors open and you board the train. I think a set up like this or just a pre show somewhere else in the queue would work a lot better then a station pre show.
  6. The rides only been repainted not long ago so i think that is paint testing for the rides new colour and not rust. It would make sense as it does look like a dark red colour and the rumoured theme is flash.
  7. Having ST open during the night market makes no sense. The Claw, Wave Swinger, Belinda’s Tree House and maybe Shockwave/Tailspin are the only rides that would work out of their offering. I also find it hard to believe you’d be able to make a profit off of two spinning seats, it would be a great way to lose money but not turn a profit.
  8. Surfrider was completely dismantled over night. (jaggsjourneysau)
  9. how about a Sky Rocket II? It would be able to fit anywhere and it would be a pretty nice fit and change their skyline drastically. i would love to see 2 flats, a major thrill coaster and a family coaster within the parks near future.
  10. A crane is up at Surfrider tonight. (ash_themeparks) When do we expect the ride to reopen at MovieWorld? could it be done by September holidays or would pushing it to the Christmas holidays be a bit more realistic.
  11. I will say, i hope the drop tower is next, i mean the new Marvin the Martian ride at Movie World looks more intense and fun then that looks. an RMC Raptor, a new Intamin drop tower and a Gravity Group family woodie along with a new flat ride to replace rampage would do great things for this park.
  12. Serpent Slayer’s signage has been put up ahead of its reopening tomorrow. (Jaggsjourneysau)
  13. some technically issues is normal for a ride but as of late, it has been a lot more reliable compared to the first couple weeks of operation
  14. it was open Monday for a night event and was operating all day Tuesday. it may just be having some issues currently like Leviathan did (which is now operating very consistently).
  15. SE reopened today giving a good look at the foundation that was constructed during the maintenance period. (ThemeParkOgre)
  16. Serpent Slayer is now testing with its reopening being a couple days away, i personally think the refurb looks really nice on the ride. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqZuzaQJvlT/?igshid=YjNmNGQ3MDY=
  17. More letters have been added onto the tower. (jaggsjourneysau)
  18. Doomsday has now been extended to be closed until the 5th of May. anyone have an idea as to why or maybe they’re just waiting for a part?
  19. the letters going up the tower have now started ti be installed. (source: Coasterdolphin)
  20. The statues for Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland have now been installed at the area’s entrance. In the background you can also see the Dreamworld Theatre signage has also been installed. (Source: Dreamworld Instagram Story)
  21. Viper at SFMM, Great American Scream Machine at SFGA and Shockwave at SFA (can’t remember if more were installed) were all apart of Arrow’s Mega Looper Model, which is a different model to GC and other arrow coasters.
  22. you’re not wrong, facebook hurts my brain trying to use it
  23. Agreed, on here they put them down if they don’t add anything then put them down even more when they’re essentially redoing half of the park. Make it make sense.
  24. 1. They never stated the Flyer or any other flat coming was it’s a “world beating attraction.” 2. I didn’t know a $35m themed roller coaster situated in a themed area is what you find in carnival’s now. This topic isn’t about Dreamworld and doesn’t even actually have any of their attractions listed in here. Based on most of your posts and the other threads you commented in over night I'm going to assume you’re only here hate on the park even if the thread you’re doing so in has no relevance to what you’re saying. There’s a difference between spreading hate and arguing a point or having an opinion, you’re clearly on one side of that more then the other.
  25. Motocoaster got a new second train a couple years back, but who knows wether they’ve been replaced or not but the parks themselves.
