  1. I'd presume that FDTD will probably remain in one half of the 'shed' to be joined by C2 in the other half. the new bigger hero maze will be in the soundstage and we'll get another 'hero' maze in the dodgems. I don't think there is any more or less room in half the shed than there is in the dodgems so don't see a point in moving FDTD edit: yeah this is going off track from sched maintenance...
  2. It's pretty obvious.. if the magnetic core in the centre of the earth stops rotating and we have a global loss of gravity, the ride will go up instead of down, so the airbags are there to ensure if this occurs we have a good view while everyone else floats away...
  3. Ehh... I must be in the minority. HWSD is exactly what I expect it to be. Its an older coaster, it's not going to be smooth sailing the whole way, but it's a good thrill ride suitable for a large audience. Ive never understood the "it's so rough I got a headache" comments. Maybe some people are just more susceptible to them... It's nowhere near as painful as the ear bashing you used to cop on LW.
  4. Doubt Top Golf will be generating any more noise than a Hypercoaster or a major motorway
  5. I very nearly ended my reply with #stickthatonthefridge but thought it may have been a step too far haha
  6. Thanks for the well researched reply @Jamberoo Fan. I should have known whatever I wrote would be scientifically analysed for accuracy and a field study completed as to why I'm wrong.. i provided you an opinion, in the moment. That's the way I post here, in the moment. I don't have enough time in my life to research statistics on the Disney Shop (nor do I think that's relevant). Does that mean I am sometimes wrong, hell yes and I'll own it when I am. You have stats for everything, and apparently 80% of stats are made up, so I guess at least you're right 20% of the time...
  7. Doesn't take 2 years to do that... the odds of it being a flume are 1,000,000:1 IMO
  8. Thanks for the info Jobe Will have to stop in for a look on the way down to Sydney in March. Coffs IMO has so much potential as a halfway stop for nsw/qld interstate travellers, it just needs some more attractions and gear to see the big banana getting in on the action, they certainly have the land to make themselves a great destination. interesting about the Tesla charging station! I actually haven't seen one in operation in Australia. I called up and enquired when I heard they were now available here but quickly moved on when I realised i'd need a second job to pay it off...
  9. Poor form by management IF (I stress IF) this account of what happened is true. Tbh Craig (or whoever was in charge of the park yesterday) should have been waiting at the bottom to offer each person a sincere apology and a free lunch at Billabong. At least that's what I would have done...
  10. My first point is do you work for the Bulletin? October was 4 months ago, and the Lego store largely caters to its own market, so why bring up October??!!!! I seriously doubt that the Lego store will become an alternate entrance to the park. That would require more staffing, and make ongoing crowd control an issue for those just looking to access the store and not DW. This store is as much a separate entity as it is part of DW, so I doubt they'd want to p*** off their customers who are trying to shop with an entry line snaked through the outlet
  11. I heard people camped out overnight to be the first in there. Let's see how much good press that gets DW...
  12. The final scene screen (photo screen) was a little dark from memory, but there we no issues with any of the interactive screens throughout
  13. The last time I rode it - White Christmas all effects were working fine on my first run (fog curtain & projection for the first time in months). Second run through it glitched going through the ship doors and the car actually stopped in the doorway. Doors kept trying to close on the car for about 2mins (my son and I were totally certain we'd be crushed.... I'd hate to think what would have happened if the car behind us had hit us...). Then we started moving again but nothing registered from that point onwards and most screens were frozen. But id say glitch aside, everything effects wise was working
  14. Don't cross contaminate topics! This one is about toilets! ... you'll create a big shit storm...
  15. Some people just can't be made happy... ...unless a coaster forms part of a Pre-show with the major attraction being a walkthrough within an area accessible only by elevated electric means of transport ...
  16. I'd give you 2 votes if I could @djrappa for using 'ball-tearing' in a post.. well done!
  17. Dreamworld itself reopened in December, just six weeks after the October 25 disaster in which four adults were killed while on board the Thunder River Rapids ride. It's this last sentence that REALLY pissed me off. The 'just 6 weeks' is a loaded statement implying the park opened too early. and why do they need to mention that people were killed, every damn time! Say 'the Dreamworld incident/accident' but we don't need to keep being told how many people & which ride every time. EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED!!
  18. Sea World are currrently not in the business of additions, they are a subtraction only business..
  19. Somewhere, @pushbutton is shedding a tear...
  20. That's the major plus side to Buzzsaw. The feeling of impending doom when you go from Vertical to upside down with your arms up... and when you feel your ass come off the seat a couple cms until your legs are pushing into the harness
  21. Seems a perfectly designed place to leave toddlers while you go on a few thrill rides...
  22. Agree with the absolute stupidity in closing one of the two thrill rides in the park, in summer. Add it to the list of poor decision making...
  23. I've never had a ride on DD as yet Never bothered with SR as the lines are always too long for what looks like a short uneventful ride... plus i dont go to WNW regularly (been well over year) Wipeout is a bundle of fun, but for me The Claw is certainly my favourite flat ride at the GC parks, hands down.
  24. Yep... DW will unfortunately be the fall guy for any Tourism based downturns on the GC for the next 12 months probably. A convenient way to absolve companies own failures whilst further putting a media spotlight on DW
