  1. The line is determined by the platform the item is being shared on, and what the owners/moderators deem suitable/acceptable. Given the video was relevant to the topic, I have no issue with it being posted, however I would have prefaced it a warning and description rather than just “here’s a video of the incident”, however its actual sharing - I think is fine - and I imagine the people making the decisions on this forum agree or it wouldn’t still be there
  2. That comment is ridiculous and negates any point you are trying to get across
  3. It was down between about 12:30 and 1pm when we tried to ride it. Not sure when it went down, or when it re-opened as we left the area
  4. JR at night is such a great experience. Eyes light up on all the bats they have added through the indoor section. Water feature illuminated. Looks like the big jewel over the entrance will light up (not yet). Also some work being done externally that’s being covered currently
  5. We all want to see a new dark ride at MW, but the reality is if you jump forward a decade, we’ll still be wanting one. The best to hope for would be a renewal/retheme of JL.
  6. Only went to the 8:30pm (final) show and there was plenty all throughout the final song
  7. Despite the website stating to the contrary, the Aquacolour shows did have fireworks - i’d actually say more than previous years…
  8. Probably because JR looks finished. Even if they hadn’t of added what they have since opening day, and continue to add, it was still a well themed immersive attraction. What they are adding now just elevates it further. WoZ isn’t immersive once you step outside that internal queue area. And let’s be frank, it never will be. VTP isn’t going to put millions retrospectively into adding theming to the ride envelopes and surrounds. The most we can ever hope for is some shade sails.
  9. If that’s is the case, I am 100% supportive of that decision but they should be transparent about it. No one is going to complain if they gave that reasoning. instead they gave this, which just comes across as code for “we want to save money”
  10. Only just realised that fireworks have also been removed from the Carnivale Aquacolour Show this year. VTP driving more nails into their evening events…
  11. DW really keep kicking goals with guest service and satisfaction. No one would have expected them to put on another night for free just because the weather was lousy. Kudos to Greg and the team there, absolutely setting the standard
  12. Think this is a no brainer for some extra revenue for DW, and exposure to Rivertown for people visiting the markets to hopefully encourage them to buy a pass
  13. No chance the Claw fits in LPM without removing a bunch of attractions (which won’t happen)
  14. Leviathan was supposed to have waterfalls too - seems a common inclusion in artist impressions/mock ups. whilst I would be impressed by their inclusion if they come to fruition, I’m not expecting them
  15. Best Food - Janes Rivertown Restaurant (DW) Best Guest Experience - Dreamworld Best Park operations - Dreamworld Best Coaster - DCR (MW) Best Family Coaster - Jungle Rush (DW) Best Flat Ride - tough one… would have been The Claw but the old girl is dying a quick death… Giant Drop (DW) Best Themed area - Rivertown (DW) Best Show - TBH - none. Best Kids’ Area - Nickelodeon Land (SW) Best new attraction for 2024 - Jungle Rush Best Amusement Park- Dreamworld
  16. After being trapped on Claw for 25mins in monsoon rain tonight - I can safely say King Claw cannot come soon enough…
  17. Yep the ride is a fantastic experience at night. Lighting is great. Got 4 rides in - 2 each way. Ride ops amazing, engaging with guests etc
  18. End of financial year results won’t break down capex expenditures into individual projects, so they won’t. Anything spent on King Claw pre-June 30 will be lumped in with the $$ spent on Rivertown in the back end of 24 (and this year too).
  19. Whilst I have no clue what those parts are for, the rest of your comment is illogical. King Claw would be well and truly already paid for if not in full, in large part. DW didn’t go to a theme park supermarket and buy it off a shelf - it’s manufactured to the requirements of the park - and that only happens when significant down payment has occurred to begin that process. Delivery will depend largely on the timeline of the manufacturer and where the project fits into their timetables. We’ve seen parts for rides arrive months before install many a time.
  20. The banks will also tell you if you order Uber eats or deposit money into a Sportsbet account periodically that you are mis-managing money. That doesn’t make them right. Afterpay only becomes debt if you don’t make your payments. In the same way having mobile phone plan that includes handset repayments isn’t debt unless you don’t pay your bill.
  21. Not lying of myself at all. Paying something off without paying interest - ie the cost to acquire the product or service is identical - is no less responsible than not buying the product until you have all the money in your hands, it just means you get it sooner. some people cannot manage their money to pay off a credit card or a BNPL and those people shouldn’t touch it.
