  1. They have an extensive archive and are presently going through a process of digitizing and remastering all their historical Qld footage
  2. I think its a stretch to imply their review is biased because of a couple passes, which to be fair, any guest can buy. I think the fact that they mention at the very end “love to see the operations improved even more” shows they were prepared to be critical where they found it warranted (eg stunt show) but overall had a very positive experience at the park. Sometimes fresh eyes are nice to look through, especially ones that are well traveled.
  3. Well to be fair you could fit the madhouse AND an indoor coaster portion and not have to build stuff all. I’d do outdoor station for the coaster straight opposite WWF station.
  4. 100% Mad house in Showstage. And then a powered mine train that has a very small indoor themed portion but mostly just winds all through WWF existing layout/theming including over the water. Positives of this: -Mad Houses are actually awesome a big people eaters -Main show building exists -New show building is low cost as is only small -Excuse to ass extra capex to enhance WWF as part of project -Result is a massive, themed non IP area -Opportunity to get a 2 ride package deal from Vekoma Cons: -Loss of show stage for showcase - use the old intensity building instead -Possible loss of fright nights pad - its a concrete slab, a cheap shed and some power, not hard to replicate elsewhere back of house
  5. Yeah it was close and they didn’t want it there. Mostly because it was shit and ugly. That doesn’t mean there is some rule that rides can’t be close together 🤦‍♂️ Also we do realise half the stuff DW say is total BS marketing spin right?

This is pure speculation but a couple ideas (the 1st one is a bit more rooted in educated knowledge): 1- If the ride was running 2 trains, something may have delayed the train on the brake run being brought into the station. This would cause the lift hill to time out and stop. I'm not sure what SWs Ops procedures are but if they aren't allowed to re-start the lift (its not standard ops mode) with people on that would be an evac. Alternate possibility is something in the station faulted causing the ride to require maintenance mode to reset it. They can't do that with guests on so this would also require en evac. I guess what I'm saying is that it's possible to have an evac on the lift when nothing is actually wrong with the lift at all. 2-A wooden coaster, the maintenance and checks of, and all that's related is totally new to the park. The late openings are more than likely due to a late handover from maintenance to ops. I think we'll find as the brand new to this maintenance team finds their groove with the ride the late openings will be less and less frequent. Thats just my 2 cents on those two matters. I have nothing to add about why it may be stopping during the day, but could be part of the above. Our rules here are pretty strict, something as trivial as a fault reset in other parts of the world, requires an evac of guests here and entire restart of daily opening checks. Where as Disney will pump trains on and off a ride at will by the operators, in Australia this requires the maintenance team and a ride shutdown. There are pros and cons to both, it may seem like over the top and a capacity killer, but also it means you don't have an incident like on the Smiller at Alton Towers happening.
  8. Both were put in at kind of a dark time in company management where a lit of quick buck American regional park style stuff was going in. Thankfully long behind us now.

  10. Not really. The whole idea is it being a premium product which limited people buy. If they make it cheap enough that everyone just wants to get it then it kinda defeats the purpose.

  14. Scooby Transfer is the track immediately after the turn into unload. It’s a false wall on the left there and maintenance bay is on the other side.
  15. No thats how they are. Its a pretty smooth ride as far as a traditional wooden coaster goes.
  16. That’s interesting as there are pre-recorded audio spiels for everything you’d expect so surprise to hear staff were on the PA. That would detract a lot.

  19. They only have one train right? 2 months would be about right for a full rebuild.
