If for nothing else Tatsu gets the nod for the insanity that is the Pretzel Loop which has to be hands down the most intense element on any coaster ever.

I don't think that's broken. It looks like it's been dug out to me. I'm guessing the tie down rod was damaged. If you look closely you'll see that it has had an extension nut placed on it within this cut out section. This is not unheard of in (coaster) construction. -

Congratulations. You just spent more than the park used to make in a whole year. -

That's not an actor. That's the same person that was on camera in the previous video -
Should Whitewater World have more of it's own identity?

Because Slick it's not VRTP. If it was you'd get the usual sort of mindless praise we've come to expect. -
Pretty sure the two aforementioned coasters are about the two extremes of coaster lol. One is the best thing ever built, the second is so much better now it's a pile of scrap lol

Death at Drayton Manor on River Rapids ride
rappa replied to elemist's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yes when you actually bother to take the time to read the articles you will see this was cause by the girl being silly and standing and changing seats mid ride. -
I would say Wolf Creek. It took detail and sets to a whole new level.
-
New control, new drives, new motors all kinda go hand in hand. The tech has all come a long way since 97

We did mid late June and 100% needed the pass so beware mileage may vary. And yes check X is actually open and the wait isn't actually like only 15mins because that's sometimes a thing.
-
Yeah I recommend the cash for the platinum flash pass for magic mountain. Check wait time on X as well and if it's high grab the hardly advertised singe ride X upgrade. A coaster everyone must experience at least once.

Think my head just exploded with your in depth engineering math there! -

Because it's almost impossible to get the concrete perfectly level and also the support might not be 'perfect' so the base might not sit perfectly level anyway. The nuts 'under' the support can be adjusted to level the support correctly. Once it's all said and done the space in the middle will be grouted so the support does effectively 'connect' with the concerted. Does that make sense? -

Can I just put what everyone must surely be thinking out there... What the hell are you talking about? -

I think that's pretty obvious -
There is a mix of two songs (about 10 mins) that plays on loop for he first few hours of the day. Then after that the fountain takes on the same music as Main Street.
-
Yeah that's a weird way to say that. If the case I would say that it's a privately commissioned piece and not available for public release.

So here's a thought for everyone to take away... I'm sure as enthusiasts everyone would love the park to embrace the community and involve them in the coaster construction/launch. Someone at the park has the same thought so stops on by to have a read of what people have to say. They read all this absolute nonsense, come to their senses and never have the crazy thought of reaching out to theme park psyco nerds again... Now imagine if we had a sensible, high quality on topic discussion about what's actually being constructed to read instead... -
What are reasonable prices for theme parks?
rappa replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I think we're past the era of discounting to keep your market. The next step is to prove yourself as a quality value offering and slowly adjust your prices to match. -

See they are some damn interesting figures when you take into account the cost of staffing a park in Australia astronomical compared to the United States. -

And those prices are raising almost by the minute. And the single day pricing now various based on dates as does multi day park hopper tickets. As for annual passes, Disneyland has been trying to reduce pass holder numbers for years now by upping the prices without success. They keep paying. And we are talking lower or comparable economic areas to south east Queensland. Raise the quality of product AND the price and they will come. -

Are you kidding? A one day ticket to Disneyland, Knotts or Six Flaggs is higher than our parks. An annual six flags pass is cheap but their business model saw them go bankrupt so let's not jump on that bandwagon hey.
