  2. Oh, so that’s why they updated the site… (new maintenance homepage) (the actual attractions that are included in their very forgiving ‘operational attractions’ counter were all in the kids’ section, bar GL, JL, & Batwing) Just saw that this was pointed out earlier, but yeah, it’s a misleading statistic at the least.
  3. to be fair, on the main Rides page it does have an ‘Under Maintenance’ banner instead of the ‘Now Open’ badge, and the same ‘Under Maintenance’ banner is at the top of the New Atlantis page.
  4. I mean that’s not a terrible idea considering MW doesn’t experience as intense of winds as SW does. Maybe they could put it within Superman Escape and Flash so they can market it as the world-first-ride-within-a-ride-within-a-ride!
  5. “Aquaman: Tower of Power”, coming to a Doomsday plot near you!
  6. It’s been like this for a while, but Trident doesn’t have a reopening date and has been under maintenance (I believe) since early Feb.
  7. Not a mass walkout, but I know from past experience that most seasonal contracts end after the Easter holidays. Its entirely reasonable that they didn't offer enough seasonal casuals the opportunity to move up to PT and as such simply don't have the staff available.
  8. It's that pesky 3pm pickup with a 5pm park closure that gets in the way though, am I right?
  9. It's a bit rich to consider Green Lantern to be 'working' at the best of times.
  10. No but workers who are parents have impacts to their availability during school term too.
  11. I think the design looks great. A much needed modernisation, but still with a fun feel that suits a theme park
  12. School kids don't operate rides and universities are all over the place on when your trimester starts and finishes.
  13. Would ‘High Lawsuit Risk’ be in referral to actually suing due to the design of site itself, or an external issue that was influenced by the design of the site (like, being given false/hard to understand information from the site, that then led to a lawsuit)?
  14. The standard you walk past is the standard you accept. Just because older \ other sites are poorly designed for those with disabilities, doesn't mean it should be allowed to continue when a new site is developed.
  15. I mean to be fair, their staffing numbers do drop outside of school holidays because some staff have schooling obligations... but its still ridiculous to suggest all the rides are closed because they don't have the staff.
  16. Way back when we saw this: I assumed this is what the lethal weapon building was being used for. There is a doorway on each side of 'the great and powerful oz' and I assumed one door lead to each attraction. I assume that leads to the pathways you can see scattered throughout the land.
  17. Thanks @TBoy, it's great to see the renders side by side for comparison. My thoughts on the changes: - The simplified castle I expected, but I do hope it has the darker tonnes like the first image. There does seem to be a filter on the second image to suit the style they were going for, but the castle does look to washed out. It's colour is too close to the barn, when it should be a lot darker and more menacing. - I prefer the new barn design. It's scale is much more impressive. I hope they plant out the entire area around the track to make it feel like a field because the first image makes it look empty. - I do hope we get some kind of rockwork/gravel around the castle, because you're right... it does look weird now. - I'm interested to see how you will actually access these rides and whether the paths to get to them will be seperate or it's one path and you pick which way you want to go. I know we can see paths with people on them, but it's still not clear where the entry/queues/unload paths are. - The Akrham station is looking very ugly and makes it look like they aren't even using it (work has been going on inside, so I assume it will form part of a walkthrough/preshow). I really hope they are covered up/themed when inside the land because they were never pretty, but (I guess) it worked when it was LW/AA. - When it was AA, this area definitley always felt excluded from the park because of all the surrounding buildings. It didn't give the feeling you were isolated because you could see the other coasters around and always hear Scooby, but I hope they take into consideration sightlines because they're promoting how immersive this land and well themed it will be. - The entry plaza area has definitley been stripped back quite a bit and the Emerald City has lost a lot of its dimensionality, but I hope it still gives that WOW factor. LW/AA's plaza always felt empty and like a waste of space because there was nothing in there.

  19. Read my first post where I tell you my source. I'm not disputing rides might open late "occasional" because a few staff called in sick, but I call bollocks on your post when MW has closed half the rides. You are suggesting MW had a mass walk out the day after school holidays finished, because half the park wasn't closed during the school holidays. You are also suggesting SW staff, on the same wage, are happy, because 80% of their rides are open.
  20. Another comparison showing the whole land: Looking at the differences: The Castles are both simplified significantly The House and the Barn have been combined into one larger barn All the rocks and gravel have been removed on FOTWW, making it look weird Kansas Twister does not go over the path anymore The Arkham station isn’t covered up (looks a bit ugly imo) Not as much trees blocking sightlines (not that movie world cares) Next time we need to be reminded when we see concept art that the land is likely not going to be like this. Remember when Leviathan and Jungle Rush were going to have mountains? 8F9CEFAF-F0D5-4BB3-B8F9-0EA1A5BA9C05.webp
  21. @DaptoFunlandGuy for comparison I used this checker for Sea World’s website (which is the previous style for MW) and Dreamworlds website. Sea World’w website isn’t much better And Dreamworld’s has a lot less violations, but the score is the same as MWs
