I bet the local parks are breathing a sigh of relief. I would love a Disney park in Australia, even a small one. However, Disney plays to win and usually kills the competition eventually.

Interesting story on the Gold Coast Bulletin site today when Disneyland was almost secured to be built on the Gold Coast. I will paste it on here when I get to my computer. What I found interesting was the numbers that they had projected to go through the doors. Plans were drawn up for it and the person behind it still wants it to go ahead one day. Gives me hope that one day it could happen but with Disneyland a lot closer now I just don't know.

I was just looking up the POVs of the flashback roller coaster at six flags magic mountain and I'm wondering why they closed such an awesome looking roller coaster.

Very smart business decision to not go ahead with the project. No way it would be financially viable. And if the head of the division is anti Tokyo Disney, probably good reason why he is the FORMER head of the division.

See here's the thing, if you do a pure racing themed coaster, you just end up with boring flat turns, like motocoaster. Plenty of racing themed rides with inversions, vertical drops and so forth...

Too many? I personally don't see any logic in making Cyclone a racing themed coaster, seeming how it loops and all, it doesn't really give off that "experience" that they (maybe) are trying to go for. For my own opinion on the rest of the motorsport expansion, I'd think I will enjoy it, and thank god they're upgrading the simulators, the tech in there was getting old, fast.

I think it had reached the end of its operating life, and was quite rough. It reportedly was so loud it distracted lifeguards in the water park next door.

It's everything you love about the Cyclone, but as you have never seen before” This is DW hype but how do you know you wouldn’t like it if you have never seen it before. Dreamworlds’ theming has never been great so I wouldn’t care if they called it a “Big Dick” I would still have a ride. I’m more worried about DW turning this train around and trying to pass it off as a racing car. If you really want to ride some great coasters you need to travel. I remember after my first ride on the Silver Bullet was, “what was all the hype about.” We already have some pretty good rides in Australia. Some are fun. “Jet Rescue” Some raise your heart level. GL falling off the tracks. If you want to ride the best coasters then you have to save up some money and do some traveling.

I'm exited for Revolution cause next year i am doing a west coast holiday for the first time!
