  1. My last visit to Wet 'n' Wild made me think that the current state of the park is the result of a bunch of quick/rushed decisions. Caribbean buildings and leafy green gardens sit at odds with plain concrete pathways and Generic Pool Fence™. A-Frames were put up advising guests to wear shoes, instead of actually providing a solution to the issue. The corpse of the Zip-Line, the Buggy, and the Mach 5 are all clearly visible. I remember growing up when Wet 'n' Wild was THE water park to visit. After my last visit, I am certain that is no longer the case. The park, like most on the GC, need a masterplan. The failures of the past aren't covered up but left for every paying guest to see. Don't know about you, but I don't think that's a good look for any business.

  4. I think you are about to get pulled up on that. The wheels and bearings will be changed regularly, and the trains aren't that old from memory. The track is from the days of hand calculated curves and older engineering techniques. So won't be as perfect in it's shape. Throw in years of existence and having several tonne of train flying around and it will be even less perfect. These days it's all CAD and laser measuring.

  5. Arrow loopers last forever right, Viper at SFMM is 5 years older and I believe it just had a refurb a few years back and was running pretty well when I rode in 2019. I think there's atleast another 5 left in HWSW.

  6. Seems like we might be nearing the end of our only full sized inverted coaster. I’m actually a big fan of Arkham, just needs a second train to improve the terrible capacity.

  8. Thunderbolt II Thunderbolt Returns Thunderbolt Revenge Thunderbolt's Revenge [didn't they keep a few pieces of steel from the old Thunderbolt? a nice piece of themeing] or...just "Thunderbolt" Bridging a state of the art attraction...to the glory of DW...the days that made it great! That's what I'd be aiming for...a thoughtful name, not some shallow hyper-blahhhh name!

  9. ^ apparently the ride experience is surprisingly uneventful. A shame really because it's great to watch.
