  9. Why not? We flew up from Adelaide for the October long weekend and had a great time. Sure lines were crazy at both Dreamworld and Movieworld and with no Flashpass available at Movieworld the $100 bucks for a day pass made it hard to get your money's worth but we still had no regrets making the 3 day trip.

  11. I'm glad that as a community we mostly didn't engage with the idea that WnW should be moved. No arguments, no rants about why it would be stupid, we all ignored it and got on with our day. I feel like we're growing up.

  14. It is only TEMPORAILY! I think it's a good idea to have a temporary ride like Power Surge until COVID-19 has finished (no physical distancing or any other COVID rules). And once Luna Park can get more money again by concerts at the Big Top, and hiring out Crystal Palace. Then it would be a good idea to start looking for rides. And even if there was no COVID-19. You would have to wait though the planning permissions. And the complaints from the neighbors. So having a thrilling, safe. But also cheap, and temporary is the best way during this period between rides. And if Luna Park after the contract is over isn't ready to get a new ride in (maybe because of COVID-19 or planning permissions, or the neighbors). They can always get another ride in for a little bit or use a different company. I think Space Jam (if the neighbors are okay with it) would be a perfect spot for now where Moon Ranger used to be! Also maybe Hurricane, or Roundup, or Body Rock would be good for now. I would personally like to see Hurricane there. And maybe also bringing back Pirates Revenge for the Summer? There's quite a few choices. And when you are looking into a permanent ride. There's tons of choices!

  20. Plans for construction of $500 million hotel next to Dreamworld move forward The development of $500 million three-tower hotel development next to Dreamworld is a step closer after a revamped development application was submitted to the council. Plans for a $500 million three-tower hotel development next to Gold Coast theme park Dreamworld are moving ahead following the submission of a revamped development application to the City of Gold Coast Council. If approved by council, developer Gordon Corp plans to begin construction of the 10-storey first tower in 2020. Features of the hotel include 400 square metre ballroom, 130-seat all-day dining area and 40-seat pool bar and a “lagoon-style” swimming pool with two spas. A report to council stated that the architect determined it was not possible to fit a minimum of 300 resort hotel suites within the 10-storey building height limit whist also providing all the ancillary facilities. It is fully understood that council would not entertain additional building height for the site and it is understood this is required to be a resort hotel providing a high-level of tourist facilities,” the report said. “The 300 resort hotel suites was a number generated by council during negotiations to settle the appeal. “This reduction (of room numbers) allows the future project team to move forward with (an application) for all three stages.” https://www.thehotelconversation.com.au/news/2019/11/26/plans-construction-500-million-hotel-next-dreamworld-move-forward/1574723523

  21. This is definitely a great marketing campaign. It showscases everything great the park has to offer and everything to come. It is such a versatile park with so many different offerings and this one video captures it all. There is so much going on right now and I can’t wait to see what it’s like by the end of next year.
