  1. I think you HAVE to be looking at a water ride for the park. It’s in desperate need now and it has to he as far away in public opinion from the two home made rides they had, so go super modern. The two other things the park needs is weenies and restoration of theming to OCEAN parade. So I really feel they need a nice big splash boat ride, obviously with the theming tweaked for the Ocean Parade theme but Intamin makes an off the shelf model that not only fits but ticks the boxes. Plus the vertical lift is a nice gimmick.

  3. There was also this tender last month... I would expect they plan to have it ready for summer.

  5. I definitely agree @rappa with adding a water attraction and keeping it away from where the log ride was. Adding it too Ocean Parade would also make perfect sense. But if possible, I don’t think they should use the area behind WWW as you propose. I feel that area needs to be kept free for a future WWW expansion. If they take that land away then WWW will become stagnant and can never grow. DW does have the land that was flowrider, trolls and the scare maze. That is an area around 180 metres long and 35 metres wide (about 5,000 square metres) but some of the gravel land could be used if necessary. That then still leaves a significant amount of land for any future WWW plans. And that still leaves us with the entire Blue Lagoon and Log ride (22,000 square metres) to use for future attractions over the next 10-15 years for DW. If they wanted to add one more ride to the Dreamworks area, they would need to demolish the TOT station building, which would be a massive job, but it would gain them a additional 600 square metres too. And while that’s not worth it, they can’t leave that building there forever. But they will probably leave it for over 10 years if we base it off the parks history of SBNO attractions

  6. This sound a bit dicky and a bit of an out, but... If @themagiciandoesn't provide a source, its confidential. This forum has "reputation" for that reason though. Someone with the top rep on the forum posts and doesn't provide a source, they still can generally be trusted, just use common sense and make sure its not a joke. If you or even me started posting stuff, then sure be skeptical.

  8. Just had a thought. Since Studio Showcase just finished. Do you think they'll do a "celebrating 30 years" temporary display in the same location? I think it's highly likely they still have A LOT of their old props, backdrops and in particular many of the old cars etc. used. Do you think we might see a throwback featuring things like: - Old parade floats (in partiuclar the daffy duck & Sylvester cars) - Old costumes (Character ones & things like Police academy ones) - Photos & videos of old rides & attractions - Old set pieces (facades from old shows & rides) I know I personally would love to see the cobs blown off a lot of the props & vehicles etc. which I'm sure Movie World probably still have a decent amount of, and what better way to give a brief non permanent nod to their past, and potentially a section about the future of Movie World? Or maybe they can remove stunt driver and bring back police academy forever.. If you haven't noticed.. I really miss the police academy show 🤣

  9. I hope this would also mean that they can get more vintage pinball arcade machines back in Coney Island. Because of COVID, the guy who leased them to the park had to sell some of them off and on top of that, they couldn't be used anyway because constant cleaning requirements and all that. But there are plans to purchase more once restrictions are eased I am told, which will be a great relief. I just hope the pinball games that were sold off weren't significant to Luna Park; I.E. they were LPS originals that were then sold off at the 1981 auction before being returned in 2016 when the pinball games were acquired. Hope those games are still there.

  10. Everyone on here has/is skeptical when people come out and say things like this. But I guess over time, you been to understand who is legit and who is just making stuff up. I can’t give details yet, so I am not necessarily confirming there is a new attraction, but for anyone who passes/visits WNW regularly, just check in on that area every now and then for the foreseeable future.

  14. Pretty much. Steel Coasters usually go up pretty quick when they go vertical. I doubt it. Still a lot to get done besides getting the layout finished - landscaping, theming, safety checks, testing, employee training, etc. As it has a different audience they probably aren't worried about competing with Leviathan.

  18. Thanks letting me know. I’m just always a little skeptical of out of nowhere info dumps like work starting soon at h20 zone area even if it’s from a trusted member. I do believe he is telling the truth but I’m always cautious.

  19. 1. Source 2. This sounds exciting hope it’s something quite good because they need to start taking white water world seriously. I feel like they didn’t see them as competition after constrictor and didn’t do anything that new besides the kids area.
