  1. Seriously? How on Earth would a Raptor ever be the right fit for the park? If VR went ahead with something like that, it'd be a complete misread of their target demographic. SW has always positioned itself as a family park and they've endured for more than 50 years because of it. Obviously, they had the Sea Viper there for a long time (tame and antiquated by modern standards), but I think the addition of Leviathan plus two decent flats more than fills that niche. I'll say it time and time again, as an enthusiast, I'd love to see more cutting-edge, extreme rides to come to Australia, but they need to be positioned in the right place at the right time. Would MW benefit from another big coaster in the not-too-distant future? Absolutely, build your Raptor there, minding they'd probably benefit more from another show, dark ride or water ride first. DW? Same story, build a new water ride as a matter of urgency and then go for another coaster. If I had the big golden key to SW, on the Vikings' site I'd probably do some kind of walk-through attraction, a smaller themed area with a couple of good flats, or even a modern flume ride a la Phantasialand.

  3. Millennium force has an inspection car that runs up beside the lift: https://www.parkz.com.au/photo/9128-Millennium_Force/gallery/sort/newest/location/millennium-force/offset/29 As others have said youd still need to get onto the track itself to check equipment mounted on the track. I think it's just Intamin being Intamin. The other Giga Intimidator 305 has a staircase https://www.parkz.com.au/photo/9889-Intimidator_305/gallery/sort/newest/location/intimidator-305/offset/11

  4. They could fit Surfrider in there pretty easily. They clearly have no interest in operating it at WnW. The castle is iconic, sure. But we've seen numerous examples of new attractions being neutered by trying to make them fit into existing buildings - SkyVoyager - I believe planned for 4 modules, the six modules is 'too full' for the screen size Storm Coaster - I believe during construction they had big issues with the relatively high water table adding much to the cost Justice League - To fit into the existing BA:TR footprint, we got the 'poor cousin' of the Justice League attractions Scooby and JDS are examples of reusing existing space without compromise, although I dislike the JDS use. In short, If they came up with an attraction well suited to the castle space without compromising the experience, sure. But if we're keeping it because "OMG it's so iconic!!!" isn't a good enough reason. Sea World's biggest issue with new attractions is finding the space, and the castle takes up an enormous amount of prime real estate leading to choke points and traffic management nightmares through the mid-station area of the park. There is a massive amount of space that could be freed up if this was levelled. The castle and flume area occupies about half a hectare \ 1.3 acres of land.

  6. https://themeparks.com.au/terms-and-conditions Now has a empty Fright Night Category at the very bottom, I think it would make sense to launch on a Friday (purely speculation) .

  7. Wouldn’t bother, it was having so many issues prior to closure. If you were just talking a re-theme as the ride system itself was still in good nick, then sure - but I believe it’s a long way from that. Better to gut the place and do something new, or demolish the whole building and utilise the space

  9. There is a 100% chance Bluey will still be relevant for a long time after they make new episodes. The reason for that being, it's a fantastic show. Like unironically good. You know it's good when the kids are watching it, then you're also watching it and 'omg I'm feeling an emotion from a show aimed at pre school age kids what in the hell?' The art of kids shows that are also quite enjoyable to watch and charming for adults has been lost over the years, Bluey does it perfectly. It's also made locally, fits naturally as hell into a current land, and is stupidly popular. The merch you'd sell in the first year alone would be worth a signing a 10 year contract for. I don't think IPs have to be current to be good. If they are good they'll stand the test of time. I mean shit look at all of Dreamworks land, when was the last thing anything has been from those properties? Also, unrelated, do them right and it doesn't matter how unfamiliar you are with the original. I went to Disneyland as a kid, and there was a heap of stuff I didn't realise was a TV show/Movie, just thought it was something original. I refuse to believe you couldn't achieve that level of quality with a Bluey presence. Also Peppa Pig, despite its longevity, is a steaming pile of the worst kind of shit, and you should be actually ashamed of yourself for comparing the two and suggesting Peppa was in anyway superior.

  10. There are no stairs. He's not inspecting "the cable lift channel", he's inspecting one of the number of seqments that make up the catch car system that connects with the train to pull it up the lift. You can reach them from the bottom. Regardless of what he is looking at anyway, you completely missed the point of posting the video, where I said it would be completely unacceptable to place workers in that position at all in Australia? As for green lantern, you can fall through the track and through the gap to the side of the stairs. See how they do evacuations from green lantern? they have tethers they place on the guests and walk them down one at a time keeping the guest between them and the railing. They aren't walking around unrestrained, carrying back packs and using their cameras. And guess what? that's not even acceptable anymore and they are installing spiral stair cases. Ahh, yes it easily has the potential to kill. Falling unrestrained down a 30 degree decline from a height of over 30m with nothing to break you fall but the concrete or catwalk at the bottom is easily capable of causing death. You've completely missed the point and yet, proven it at the same time. How the hell do you do that?
