  1. It's also completely the wrong colour for the Booomerang coasters.

  2. I remember driving this train back in 2005/6. Would have been just before it closed. Was always a struggle getting it up the hill near corkscrew. If you didn’t get enough speed up it would stall. Also laugh at the people in the water park. They would get changed behind the bushes. Then freak out when they heard the train come along. 😂😂

  3. The steam locomotive in WWF is definitely the old Sea World train. As for where in the park other remnants of the railway can be found, the old tunnel still remains under the seal stadium and some railway track can be seen along the back of house service road behind the battle boats (where the waterslides used to be).

  4. Yes i'm pretty sure at least part of this loco is on the bridge at wild west. I think they had two trains at one point, and I think the cab from the other one survived and was somewhere up near caboolture

  5. I’ve always been one to stick up for Motorcoaster and say it has its place in the park, after watching and timing cycles today from the queue line, at an average cycle dispatch of 7.42 mins, and then how rough as guts the ride experience now is, it’s time for it to go and free up a substantial plot for future development. the restraints are just too finicky and having multiple people each load who they don’t suit, then requiring rechecking of every harness after they are released to let people out is just an absolute pain in the ass. I don’t blame the ride ops, it’s the train design, and management for not staffing to run 2 trains.

  6. Could they put spinning cars on Motocoaster? That would actually be pretty fun.

  10. They don't hate them at all, they just like clicks. the article and the headline has to get you to click on it, so they'll market the coast's new ride one day, and then post about the horrible operations and disappointment of all the folks who travelled interstate just to ride it and couldn't because it was closed. They go with whatever headline sells, and 'ride stuck causes terrible ordeal' works better than 'minor inconvenience delays guests for a total of less than 120 seconds.'

  12. Yeah it seems like if they were gonna replace the gondola they would have made that a main feature when they announced the refurb for the tower

  13. I’m not sure they know what they are talking about. There has been a previous discussion about this before, and I believe one gondola was replaced/refurbed a couple of years back, but no other changes have been made. the scope of works the park presented made no mention of gondola changes

  14. See I'm old enough to remember that the park was improved when they took the boats out. It's weird what people are nostalgic for I guess.
