  1. more track has arrived for the Vekoma SFC. I really can’t wait till these coasters go up so we can see the theming start to take shape, when does everyone think vertical construction will start? my guess would be July/August. (Jaggsjourneysau)

  2. Watched the ride operate today for a fair while. Operations are very very slow. The queue wasn’t that long, but the wait was 30 minutes. And I got to witness the cord being plugged in to unlock a harnesses, so strange to see this happen and adds around 20 seconds to the end of the ride while the operator grabs the cord from the op booth, plugs it in, pushes the button, unplugs it and then places it back into op booth. Since opening, they’ve moved to ride info sign from the left garden to the right garden behind the themed wall. In its original spot you couldn’t actually see it because the queue gets long and hides it. They’ve also added another purple wall into the left garden.

  3. So like Big Dipper or Leviathan then. Plenty of rides have teething problems

  4. One now... the one in Malaysia closed down and this is a 2nd gen version of it as well. So really it's the only one. "Intamin's Tourbillon problems are well known. " - Sorry wouldn't let me quote in an edit. Those rides were actually built by ABC Fun Rides but sold by Intamin. Similar to how in Europe, Vekoma sells RMC products but they are still built by RMC

  5. Also think you're overestimating my care levels. Was just pointing out the "unreliable Intamin" is a thing. Accurate or not, its a thing.

  8. I can tell you right now all of those numbers for 1 train operation are far higher than what they would achieve. Superman would average 12 dispatches a hour (6 every 30 mins) which if all seats were filled would be 240 riders a hour Rivals would probably be pretty similar too. Road Runner would have done a dispatch with the old trains approx every 3 mins. So around 320 a hour with 1 train. This is from personal experience as an operator as a FYI. However with procedures that have changed it is possible that it's even less now... doubt it's got faster since I was there lol. Back then operations were actually halfway decent (for village), and staff actually gave a crap. Quite a few of them were actually on these forums back in the heyday and we may or may not have used to have friendly competitions I'd say if this ride doesn't have seatbelts and is just a standard restraint you'd be looking at dispatches similar to Road Runner and be getting mid to high 300's per hour due to the longer train. You could maybe push 400 a hour if you had 2 loaders + the controller running things. Just really depends how they chose to operate it, so many things when I was there just... made me question "why" haha. Simple things like opening the damn gates as people are getting off the train to make things quicker. One day things may change haha

  10. I really love how a maintenance thread has turned into another personal attack. Real cool.
