  1. This is that footing nearest the road... definitely part of the ride: http://www.parkz.com.au/photo/12256-2017_roller_coaster_construction/gallery/sort/newest/location/ride-2445/offset/19 While I think a lot of this micro-analysis of individual footing locations etc. might end up on the money, beyond a pretty general idea of track direction I think a lot of this is clutching at straws. It's connect-the-dots with maybe half the dots and a line that can do just about whatever it wants between the dots. At this point I'm not sure what is more impressive: that we've generated 38 pages of discussion about this without knowing the ride type, or that after 38 pages anyone that does know has kept their mouth shut.

  2. I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned on here a number of times that the colour schemes were something that was raised by local residents, concerned about gaudy colour schemes being unsuitable for their rural location. It is possible Jamberoo has had to stick with deliberately drab palettes as a result.

  4. Funfields is getting it's own VR experience, transforming the Blackbeard's Fury pirate ship into "Dragon's Fury VR". Very interesting to see if the pirate ship motion will translate well into a VR experience. It's cool to see a small park dive head first into the VR craze. Fingers crossed they pull it off well.

  5. You'll hear plenty of "wtf are you doing?" and "what's going on" as you come out you'll get a few "ha! you had to go to the back of the line".

  6. No easy way of telling but a quick SQL query tells me there's currently 185 attachments here. A handful have made it into the database but of course there's only so many photos of dirt or footings we need.

  7. Just was thinking about AW's FN's event and how they are introducing Summer nights. I was wonder if in the future we will see a christmas event or even an easter event to try and draw more crowds to come during the April months. Considering April is usually a quite period for the park. Considering FN's has been a massive successes for AW it wouldn't surprise me if more events come about in the future and we have seen summer nights being introduced this season. USS do a good Easter event and christmas event if anyone is interested.

  8. I went to HHN in Hollywood last week, it was amazing, the Exorcist was killer - went to the park in the day too for the first time in 15 years. Only thing that sucked was the Jabberwokeez show, that did nothing for me and had nothing to do with Halloween. Knotts Scary Farm was very strong this year also, as was Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Pleasant surprise was the Haunt at California's Great America (got to do Fear VR and their Asylum maze before they closed). I'd love to do that Asylum thing on the 29th, and the Ultimate Terror Tour and Star Tour, but sporting commitments will probably keep me away.
