  1. Hi everyone! Here is another update to the construction at LPS! The first bits of Big Dipper have been assembled. And the first section of rail has arrived! Holes and foundations have been dug in the Backstage! Shh! Enjoy some trees. Backstage is a myth! Cloud 9 has also started testing, with the ride now completed. There was a work zone put in place next to the office of LPS at Glen Street for just May 18th. If anybody was there on that day know what it was for. Please PM me! A chain fence has been added around Boomerang for devesive architecture purposes. All the other stuff above are still ongoing. And should be done soon! Next update will be whenever I get there!

  5. You're welcome mate! Good hearty discussion is what we're all about and the best way for everyone to join in on the chat (especially those new to the site) is to make insight accessible instead of gatekeeping ideas, rumours etc. etc.

  6. For me AA replacement still should be a wing coaster or flyer themes to Matrix with a cool pre show/lift hill and then ‘flying’ around the city as you enter the matrix. Loading the train is perfectly suited story wise to getting plugged in. I have the entire ride, show and story design in my head.

  7. Few pics from this evening Mack Crates! A temporary (?) light has been installed at the Giant Drop Entrance... ... covering the poor dedication plaque.

  8. (one more photo for above) (apparently Parkz doesn't like me to edit stuff 30 minutes after posting) (I'm doing this in real time!) (AND AGAIN!)

  9. I just wanted to say thank you for putting links to the rides you're talking about. And the same to everyone on here that does that. I don't have the seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of rides and manufacturers that a lot of you do, so having the context makes everything much better. Yes, I know it's not hard to highlight the ride name and hit search, but you've saved me a small bit of effort, and I appreciate it.

  11. Ahh great question - the original brief was: Filler flat thrill ride to increase quantity of rides/experiences throughout the guest's day Something different to neighbouring parks Good capacity to keep up with the rest of the park's demand Compact Back then when Doomsday opened, the Mavericks/WB Exhibit building was (and is) still a big question mark sitting in the middle of the park. I'd address that building and its use in advance and plan accordingly. If the space will serve as the entrance to a wild west themed dark ride that's housed inside that building as well as a flat ride, than a Zamperla Super Air Race fits the bill perfectly. It's compact, good capacity, a thrilling flat ride and it's got a competitive advantage over Pandamonium in that the central mast moves up and down. Given the space is land-locked by two show buildings there'll be a real sense of speed when those things whip around inside the space. If the entrance to the Mavericks/WB Exhibit dark ride is going over to Arkham's side, then you have more room to play, and I think more room to go balls deep with something folks have never seen before. Let's be honest, mostly everything has been done, seen and installed at this point so you want to capture folk's imagination like Wipeout did back in the 90's. Therefore, i'd risk it for the biscuit and go to Mondial to build either an Airstrike or an Avalanche. My money's on the Avalanche though, high capacity, completely batshit insane and unlike anything really anywhere else in the world, and is visually mental enough that word of mouth would be the marketing campaign, much like Rivals.

  12. The next part of the expansion to the Big Banana waterpark has been lodged for a DA with the Coffs Coast council. The addition of a new Kids area and new tower complex with dueling raft slides will be a welcome addition to the small waterpark. The full article can be read HERE Below shows an overview of the new tower and duelling slides. This forms part of the expansion plans that were announced in December last year. The addition of the Plantation Alpine Coaster should be lodged as a DA by early next year.
