  1. I'm pretty tall, so most OTSR's (ones that aren't height adjustable that is) hurt my shoulders/collar bones (yes I'm whinging ). But I could do with some workouts at the gym, I'll admit that.
  2. Dude! Don't be such a wussy & get on it! You've been on Space Probe yeah? Its only slightly taller than that For me my fave dreamworld ride would be TOT followed closely by Giant Drop. (I just love the 5 or seconds of airtime on TOT). I find Wipeout to be pretty boring & kinda painful on my shoulders/collar bones...
  3. I've always wondered why B&M do Zero G-rolls at the top of a peak, rather than say on a flat line (as in Intamin versions)... I'd like to see them implement one on a flat line towards the end of a ride. Unless there is a specific reason why they do them at the top of a peak?
  4. Well it was ok... a little brief tho. & they never did say who won the "battle" (unless I just wasn't listening properly)
  5. oh sweet thanx for letting us know =) Is it international parks, or Australian only?
  6. A Beemer... any sort will suffice =)
  7. I had the exact same thing happen on a wet day at SFMM (yeah its in a different country, but its still relevant to the thread) - it started raining in the afternoon, causing the closure of many rides. So we all got a full days ticket to come back at another time. I'd also go into the story of riding Riddlers Revenge in the pouring rain, but it brings back memories of how painful it was having rain hit your face in the front row
  8. Goodbye Wonderland - you'll be missed...
  9. How tall is the Giant Drop officially? Is it something like 38 storeys? But yeah, the higher they go the better IMO - Giant Drop is just so much better than Space Probe =)
  10. The floorless ones look kinda painful tho dont you think? Ive never ridden one tho, has anyone here tried one out?
  11. haha yeah ive seen that video - love the breakdancing panda
  12. Hahaha I used to love Saved By The Bell
  13. Giant Swing... (if they're to go along with their poor naming in the past )
  14. Yeah I say upgrade it, but not the actual ride itself, cos that does the job fine as is - i mean the theming.. its pretty poor inside those tunnels/caves thingys... Just add something of interest to look at & some good lighting..
  15. Does this suggest that it might possibly be relocated to somewhere else (numbered so its easier to reconstruct)? One can hope...
  16. I'm not sure of the trading times on Anzac day itself, but is the park open to the public on the monday during the day, or is this a staff only day?
  17. Yeah the fair you've built looks rad Huss. I didnt realise they were motorised & worked, that makes them even cooler =D
  18. well, i know its dragging an old thread back up - but I have this show along with a few other documentarys taped & once I have my new video card with tv in I plan to rip them to divx. I'll look at somehow making them available to download eventually =) But just dont tell discovery channel cos they mightn't like it
  19. What was the reason for having Fright Night in April? Was it for anything in particular? Just thinking aloud here; I know its common in the US to have similar themed nights/month around Halloween, but I guess thats not such a hugely celebrated holiday/event over here... any reason for choosing April?
  20. Hey Huss, would be cool if you posted up a pic of them all set up together? (if u want )
  21. Looks really cool man =) Speaking of models, not sure if you guys have seen this or not: http://www.coasterdynamix.com/ Heh I want one!
  22. I went to the show today. I'll admit I am not much of a fan of carnival rides, but I went on a couple anyway. I would've gone on more but the queues were quite long plus my funds were a bit low hehe. So anyways I mainly wanted to try out the crazy mouse spinning coaster as I've never had the chance of trying out a spinning 1 before... however the queue was just too long for me to bother with, & it looked quite tame anyways... or maybe I'm wrong heh. I figured I'd leave it till another time. So I headed over to the Rainbow. I will say this now tho - I'd been on it before a few years ago & didn't really like it. But after reading all of Hussrainbow's posts praising it I thought I'd give it another go heh. I'm glad I did, cos I thoroughly enjoyed it, even tho it was so brief =( ...We did about 2 full rotations anti-clockwise but they brought it to a stop because 1 guy on it didnt have his seatbelt thingy on (i thought they were pretty unecessary anyway but they insisted we wear them)... so the op started it up again & gave us about another 2 rotations clockwise before stopping it... I felt somewhat ripped off, it was such a short ride (or is it usuaully this short?) So after that I headed over to the Taipan for a quick ride. Its the same as I always remembered - fun but a little short. The helix's are fun tho. But it would be better if it was longer... So yeah that was the extent of my ride activities at this years show. =)
