  1. Well, according to the 0.0004% figure, if I ride something 250 thousand times I'll experience a ride stoppage. Challenge accepted.
  2. MW just crushed my dreams of getting to experience an evacuation. (really good video though that'll hopefully educate a lot of the GP)
  3. This is what I expect MW to be doing - some proper teasers
  4. Having a steel coaster weave through Buzzsaw is one thing, having a wooden coaster weave through Buzzsaw is another thing, and a very impossible one at that.
  5. Seeing that "Flying Snake Dive", "Lagoon Roll" and "Tip-out Corner" are all elements that exist now, it probably wouldn't even sound too out of place.
  6. The problem with a higher capacity car means more weight, which means it requires a lot more power to launch it as high. And with the current system, they probably don't have the technology to do that.
  7. Yeah no, stop exaggerating things dude. Maybe you got a little headache, and if you really couldn't walk, then how did you get off the ride? It's really not too rough a coaster, if you think HWSW is rough you need to ride some rougher coasters - start with some really old woodies. Sure, there's a few strange transitions, but if you sit properly and hold on tight there's no way it'll "crack" your back. Even a headache would probably only start appearing if you re-rode it two or three times.
  8. To extend to the above post: They can but they won't because they shouldn't and they don't need to. A new ride could easily fit in the gold rush area, or the blue lagoon. HWSW only got refurbished a short time ago, so I'd estimate DW are planning to keep it around for a good chunk of time. It's not a terrible coaster, really. MDMC is far worse.
  9. I think a blade runner theme would be awesome (haven't seen the movie, but I've heard nothing but good things and it's definitely a movie I want to watch), but I would be pretty underwhelmed if it wasn't themed to a really high level. At least with a DC theme, they can lightly theme it and make it "comic-y", like the case with Green Lantern. Although that is still underwhelming, it's not as much as it would be with blade runner.
  10. No, no, no. That's an awful idea. The Dreamworld name gives the park its identity, the park has history under that name and changing it almost removes that history. If they change Dreamworld to something else, then it becomes "that park where the people were killed" to the GP - it's not the park name that they're associating with the accident, it's the park itself. Honestly changing the name probably would attract the attention of the media more than it would keeping it. If Dreamworld want to get out of this tough spot they're in, they need to take a risk and start some major development in the park (I'm talking new areas and big coasters), as soon as they have the funds to do so.
  11. For me, the slides at WnW are better, but I really appreciate the little things WWW does, like spraying paths with water during summer and conveyor belts on slides. I don't really mind whether it's incorporated into Dreamworld or not, I think the reason why it was incorporated is because since it's quite a bit smaller than WnW, those who wanted to go to a water park for the whole day generally chose WnW. I think a lot of people who were visiting WWW were also spending time at DW, so incorporating it into the park just made things a bit simpler.
  12. I've done up a quick sketch on what's been built so far. There might be some errors since this is just based on photos, I'll leave @docoaster to do all the fantastic 3D NoLimits stuff. Red is obviously what's already been built, blue is the two routes where it could go down now. I feel pretty sure that it'll go down the inner route because the track appears to be un-banking in the most recent photos. I think from there it'll probably wrap around itself a couple of times before making the return journey to the station (perhaps a bit similar to what @docoaster had in his video). Can someone remind me what piece number the first piece of the Stengel dive is? If it is just after the mid-40s, I feel like it really could be a non-inverting loop - which would be amazing, I've heard the airtime those things give is fantastic. If that is the case, I think the chances of this being a non-inverting hypercoaster are quite a bit higher now. At the rate they're going I feel like that apart from the lift hill, drop, and perhaps one or two other major elements after the drop, the trackwork will be almost completely finished by the end of this month. That's also when GL goes into maintenance, so I think it's a very viable guess. You would assume they would finish the lift hill and drop last.
  13. That is some Maverick-level twisty-ness right there
  14. That terrible. Very saddened by this event.
  15. The great thing about Disney is that, even with massive crowds like that, they always seem to manage them really well. Never been to a Disney park myself (that will change by the end of the year though ) but I always hear fantastic stories about how they manage their crowds so well.
  16. Just seeing these pictures I want to go down there and ride it right now, even if it's incomplete - it will be worth it. Really great pictures. It's certainly starting to look like a proper, twisty coaster now.
  17. I don't see them removing Castaway Bay anytime soon, it's still relatively new isn't it? If anything - I'd see them expanding the area.
  18. I think this is a joke, but with you @pushbutton I can never be too sure.
  19. Great - first sign of some serious ejector airtime?
  20. Would be a lot simpler, and a lot cheaper just to retheme the ride. I don't know how long before the coaster opens theming starts being manufactured, but I would assume it doesn't take too long. I think if the ride was rethemed not too long after the DW accident (as in a matter of months) there would be no problems at all.
  21. The ideas are fine, the grammar just hurts me Although I have to give him credit for it being slightly better than his usual grammar
  22. Or theme individual cars to a different hero/villain? That could be an eye-sore though, I'm still iffy on HWSW's multi-coloured train.
  23. I don't know where you got this from, but seeing they were plain magnetic brakes (and required no electricity to power), they can't just be turned on or off. Pretty certain they were removed.
