  1. Apart from saying they will be open by September Holidays, they have been rather quiet. Its a shame, COVID has been great for me personally and picked up more work so I was willing to buy a DW Pass for my family during our holiday in August but will have to wait and see if they will be open by August 17.
  2. Sure you're not celebrating the return to school?
  3. I was much the same. Fast Pass saved my life.
  4. They also updated the Cogs. I would say someone is watching the forum and is actively fixing the easy things we're calling out.
  5. Any logo will be pixelated if you crop and zoom in larger than its designed to be displayed. Having a higher resolution image for that location on the website would be horrible webdesign.
  6. Not sure why your background on Dreamworld website is black. I am assuming some "Night Mode" setting in your web browser, so first of all you're not looking at Dreamworlds version of Dreamworlds website, someone has altered it. Second, the red Bar is a temporary COVID information message, which everyone can see if you don't crop the image down. So in short, no.
  7. Mine worked when I used the ID number (under the pic, 9 digits long) not the barcode.
  8. Personally, my family were planning on visiting Falls Creek but the new Victoria ban means we can't so were holidaying on the coast and will use some of the vouchers (like Outback Spectacular). Also the $$$ savings means we can also get Dreamworld passes which is what brought this to mind. Guess we will see in the coming weeks.
  9. Dreamworld have ceased selling tickets (understandable). What offers do you think they will have to attract people once reopened? Village are offering $350 worth of vouchers.
  10. It would cost more to renovate most likely due to the insurance involved in an In House attraction, unless a manufacturer decides to take on the job and turn it into one of 'their' rides, which is super unlikely. That and the park has already announced the ride is permanently closed.
  11. @themagician it's on the opening hours site. Below pic is mobile but same on desktop.
  12. I don't know when this icon was updated but they really need to change it. That isn't how gears work. Whats worse is they have an illustration of a correct layout next to the text No wonder they had issues with ToT and Wipeout...
  13. Jet Rescue was brought forward by a few weeks (23rd August to now the 9th August). Could this be the reason for that? If so, we could see similar shortening of downtime's for other rides
  14. Honestly at the moment there isn't much to light up.
  15. I think the thing I loved most about it was how it sounded similar to a fighter jet.
  16. Sea World is open and you're living up to your profile pic and drinking there again?
  17. Maybe unpopular opinion? not sure but I don't think the Castle does anything for SeaWorld and personally isn't nostalgic. Vikings was also pretty lame. Even as a kid I remembered I liked Dreamworlds better. I have no issue with them flattening the whole area and starting from scratch.
  18. https://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/splash-mountain-disney-rides-linked-to-offensive-film-rethemed/news-story/3eb869a2125ddd1f5b92ef95473d7319
  19. Surely designing the re-theming a ride isnt a 3 week thing? If the BLM protests and the cancel culture that followed has pushed the timelines forward then so be it, but I would say this has been on the cards of Disney for a while.
  20. With the wires on that it looks like its designed to be taken over by a vine, which I hate the idea of. Thats more for a jungle / Poison Ivy area not an underwater / Atlantis area...
  21. At the same time I'm pretty sure you will find both sides of government call the other side muppets at times
  22. They won't be. It will be a web news story and possible small print article about peoples online complaints, taken as if it was an interview.
  23. VRTP are the biggest in Australia, of course they will have the largest voice. There are also many who have been affected in a positive way and come out the other side with more money ready for a holiday. How is this an argument against VRTP? They have an app for queuing already, they are able to open up and still keep some of their unrequired or reduced hours staff on Job Keeper. If staying shut means they are getting stuff sorted out or future proofing, by your own argument, VRTP have got their stuff sorted and have future proofed. VRTP pass holders are getting a 4 month extension, longer than the parks were closed. I would say the vast majority of holders are locals who will be able to use it again immediately, with the northern NSW tipped to be July 1st or July 10th. No real advantage to anyone there. You're also banging on about VRTP being irresponsible for wanting the government to lighten restrictions but they are no where near the only company or industry doing so, or anywhere near the most vocal.
