Whilst Kevill Hill was never of interest to me (I’ve literally never been inside in its current iteration - went in there once when it was AvP), the fact the social media team at DW have basically said “we’ll we've replaced the laser skirmish/zombie walkthrough with a temporary toddler/kids area” is absolutely laughable. It’s like closing TOT and saying “but we do have this great shop that sells Fairy shit”..

The paintwork looks decent, the plants are an interesting and welcome cohesive themeing addition. However, the big statue thing looks ridiculous and nothing like a jellyfish. Looks like a combination of something out of War of The Worlds and a hot air balloon...

Have to say that’s my thoughts too. If I was looking for rides I’d just go down the road to MW and DW, better rides and don’t cost a fortune. A show imo is for the show experience which is show events, exhibitions, games, showbags etc, rides play a minor role in that, but I have no issue with other show elements expanding at the expense of more rides

There is currently nothing theming wise.... so how can a refurbishment that adds theming be a bad thing?

Pathway past Billabong is out of action, so Corroboree etc can only be accessed via the fancy teleportal they’ve apparently built in the Ice Cream store....

The car went down for the TVC and was then removed and put back once FNs began. It didn’t sit there for 2 months prior to FNs

That’s basically what I just said. All 4 (or 5 mazes) are clearly not ready to roll. they may have 1 complete in the shed, or a couple partially complete that they can get some basic shots in. They’ll set up some of the precincts and film those (like putting the car on the fountain like they did a year or two back, and then remove it again)

The prices being offered to members ($69 adults $59 kids) is the cheapest promo rate they’ve offered in the last 12 months. I get it might be annoying, and I’d probably be a bit pissed if VTP follows suit one day, but we keep harping on about how we are not happy with how the park is run, well then we can complain when they clearly try to implement different strategies to change things. Cant complain about the changes when you were complaining about the status quo. Well you can, but that just makes you a whinging tool....

Usually 1 or 2 are used in filming the TVC going off the previous years, they also set up some precincts (and then put them away again)
