  1. Past hour
  2. I had a similar experience recently... yours actually sounds worse, which is surprising! It's such a shame seeing the ride in that state. I don't think so, as the geyser is still on which is probably the wettest effect on the ride
  3. Today
  4. It's been like that since the teaser was released It's still open now... those lucky security people
  5. Maybe, but I’m sure I’ve seen it operate during winter before. It also doesn’t actually get riders wet, so it shouldn’t make much of a difference.
  6. Track work around Rivertown is now fully underway @gcthemeparkgirl
  7. Surely a glitch, no way they would they would do a soft opening?
  8. On Queue Park: https://queue-park.com/parks/village-roadshow/warner-bros-movie-world/
  9. I’m sure this is a technical error, but apparently Scooby has a 5 minute wait!
  10. Yesterday
  11. Had a chance to ride WWF for the first time in a while and my God is it in bad shape. Basically none of the effects worked (apart from the geyser and the swinging saloon doors/balcony breaking away in the ghost town). There was no audio around the ride at all, no video in the turntable room and even the water tower before the final lift hill (one of the most consistent effects in my opinion) failed to activate. To add insult to injury, parked directly behind said water tower in plain view was a parade float, completely breaking all immersion. It’s honestly embarrassing that the ride is operating in its current condition.
  12. Last week
  13. More info - Slides designed and manufactured by Weigand (Germany). https://www.wiegandwaterrides.de/en/projects/cruise-ships/icon-of-the-seas-royal-caribbean/
  14. While not directly theme park related, this recent incident on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas is worth noting given the similarities in slide technology that’s has been used in some parks here. A section of one of the ship’s drop slides (the Frightening Bolt) has broken mid-course, with water gushing from the gap. apparently no one was injured, and the slide has since been closed. Still, it is quite alarming to see such a structural failure on a brand-new attraction.
  15. It looks temporary probably because it is. Through the many discussions I’ve had with park management in recent years, they don’t like doing this half assed, and if things don’t look up to scratch to us, then the park will probably agree and will be working on something more permanent when they have the resources and money to do so.
  16. We have well and truly understood your opinion dude.
  17. There was staging lights they were temp . The ones in tunnel have been there for months . They have a lighting issue and this appears there solution . Would be silly to buy and install lights in this way for one event .
  18. Dreamworld is a major partner for the current This is Gold Coast 2025 https://experiencegoldcoast.com/business-events/tigc25 They had a drone show in the carpark so it's probably just a temporary setup for the event https://www.instagram.com/skylighterfireworks/reel/DM7i9dzx_zM/?hl=en
  19. I don't believe it's permanent because this isn't the standard of work we have been witnessing at DW.
  20. right, so another enthusiast with a differing opinion. Unless the park is saying it's permanent - i'm happy with my own opinion.
  21. Ask jaggs journey . On his video he said it.
  22. Source? Given, as has been pointed out, the lighting truss and moving heads along the river - it does seem like they are set for a specific event. They have their gatsby fundraiser coming up - though it does seem a bit far away - but maybe more light was needed for the restaurant night trade (can't imagine the moving heads would be for that though). Nothing about anything i've seen so far says permanent. If it is a fix for a lighting problem, i'm assuming it's still temporary until the permanent solution is fabricated - Though I will say i've been in Rivertown at night without these and I didn't feel like the lighting was lacking.
  23. Unfortunately not temporary . Looks like a cheap attempted fix to a lighting problem
  24. Can't tell if ur joking or not but if u aren't well then im being 100% serious there are actual logos i made for scooby coasters 2025 refurb In fact here's the concept of the sign i made
  25. There was a path back of house, and a door with a lock. Once inside the mountain there was a small fire corridor that took you into the booth.
