    It looks temporary probably because it is. Through the many discussions I’ve had with park management in recent years, they don’t like doing this half assed, and if things don’t look up to scratch to us, then the park will probably agree and will be working on something more permanent when they have the resources and money to do so.

    There was staging lights they were temp . The ones in tunnel have been there for months . They have a lighting issue and this appears there solution . Would be silly to buy and install lights in this way for one event .

    Source? Given, as has been pointed out, the lighting truss and moving heads along the river - it does seem like they are set for a specific event. They have their gatsby fundraiser coming up - though it does seem a bit far away - but maybe more light was needed for the restaurant night trade (can't imagine the moving heads would be for that though). Nothing about anything i've seen so far says permanent. If it is a fix for a lighting problem, i'm assuming it's still temporary until the permanent solution is fabricated - Though I will say i've been in Rivertown at night without these and I didn't feel like the lighting was lacking.

    There was a path back of house, and a door with a lock. Once inside the mountain there was a small fire corridor that took you into the booth.

    MW have the opportunity to have the number 1 family coaster on the coast again. How this ride turns out, will tell us the real state of MW.

    Love the new logo and so glad they got rid of the next generation name. Fingers crossed the original entry sign returns (or something just as good). And their choice of wording saying ‘the original spooks’ gives me hope. Not going to hype this up to much for myself because Village are known to hype things up and then disappoint.

    Socials and website have been updated to reveal a new logo and teased its “coming soon”. Hopefully that means a September-October opening. https://movieworld.com.au/attractions/scooby-doo-spooky-coaster This is the other option, they have pushed out advertising now simply because they see the progress/success of Dreamworld’s King Claw campaign.

    Getting a written warning for that is insane lol. So how did you guys get into the booths then I'm assuming it would be part of the path near the backwards drop right?

    There was always a window, and you couldn't see into the booth from the ride when it was in normal operation unless you really looked for them. I got a written warning for that incident though from an ex park manager who was always very grumpy. Some people may know exactly who I'm talking about, shares a name with an ex wiggle lol. The other operators thought it was hilarious, and the riders did too.

    I know rides entering QLD have to comply with: AS 3533 EN 13814-1 ISO 17842-1 ATSM F2291 "includes assessing the loads on critical components" where is this completed in Australia, and who is doing it? I know who verifies all of Mack Rides calculations and the company isn't based in Australia.

    I did say "these days" being present tense. Important to note, particularly in QLD significant changes have occurred since 2015 with regards to the legislation and the introduction of the code of practice. There is a greater responsibility on all parties involved in the process, the engineer, the operator and the regulator. Love your optimism though...

    Don't stress people, according to @Levram__the same Australian registered and qualified engineers checked GL's critical components. //s😂😉 Do I think the arm will fail on King Claw. NO Is there a chance one day a critical component will fail on a ride in Australia. YES

    Regardless of who the OEM is for a device, Intamin or a cheap Chinese device, these days the risk of such a serious design flaw in a device entering or being installed in Australia is mitigated by a very stringent design registration process. Which requires one of very few, Australian registered and qualified engineers to verify the design of a amusement device in order for the regulator to issue design registration, among many other things. That includes assessing the loads on critical components etc. Most states follow the same guidelines with some minor variation here or there. For example I believe Victoria allows devices pre 1995 to operate without design registration, but that's being proposed to change.
