  1. I like theme parks but I don't follow every single thing occurring at theme parks hundreds of kilometres away. If there is something major, I'll follow it. Just like how I expect Gold Coast residents, who make up the majority of Parkz forum members, not to be interested in a one-off charity concert at Jamberoo but may be interested in major new extremely well themed rides or Australia's possibly first alpine coaster. It was just a natural assumption that containers hosting themed panic rooms on the Oxenford property would be for Fright Nights as I know they have held them for a long time & applications for them appear mid-year. I checked this topic, found no mention of the application so I posted it. I didn't know some other MW event had them recently. Being hundreds of kilometres away, I have better uses of my time than reading about a theme park event lasting just 2 weeks. There is very little chance for anyone outside of the SE-QLD/Northern NSW area to plan a holiday around a 2 week event, which was probably announced very shortly prior to it being held. I'm more interested in reading about permanent rides that will still be there next time I plan a holiday such as, most notably, DC Rivals HyperCoaster.

  2. So…………………………………………………………………………………….. (long, long pause) This has appeared in Parkz theme park database as an announced ride. What do we think this steel coaster would be and what do you get for $20m? https://www.parkz.com.au/parks/AU/Gold_Coast/Dreamworld/ride/4313-Unknown_Steel_Roller_Coaster

  5. It better not be a Zamperla Thunderbolt or a Zac Spin coaster maintainance heavy and very rough. Hopefully Mack, RMC, or B&M.

  6. But more importantly, what colour will the steel be painted?!

  7. That article is from the start of the year and since then they’ve released the statement that new things are coming

  8. Something must stink at Village. And I'm not talking about the toilets during peak periods.

  9. Honestly you'll never enjoyed anything as much as one of those sandwiches when you've eaten noting but small cheese samples and you've destroyed your pallet by drinking every type of wine that exists.

  10. I think that's probably the cheapest and must filling food item in the entire Ekka. Save money for rides, eat cheese toasties

  11. We usually do. If you aren't going to keep up with things, how do you know if it hasn't already been posted? I mean geez - at least I read the perth stuff before passing comment...

  12. Little disappointed... He could of bought 50,000+ picnic tables with umbrellas in them. Dam where will I sit?

  13. Haha 😂 yeah and after potentially spending hundreds of dollars at the Ekka overall, the prospect of a cheap $2 cheese toastier would be more than tempting for most people!!

  14. For the wife? They don't as far as I know have babysitting, but they did last time I went have a stand that sells nothing but toasted cheese sandwiches for $2 each. They were doing a roaring trade. Its amazing how appealing a cheese toastie is after hours of booze.

  18. I didn't mention this on the Parkz Forums a few months ago but Jamberoo Action Park recently hosted a 1 day charity concert called Take Action: They raised money for farmers but I doubt it provided a long term attendance boost for the park. Probably just a boost for the 1 day. It was the first concert hosted at the park in a long time (maybe 2 decades?) and was promoted locally. Good corporate social responsibility.

  19. Someone should get rid of John Deere. His posts are in bad taste anyways so who cares...

  20. If it's the same company that does them at the Sydney Show, the $2 toasties will be most likely raised to $3 for this years show 😥
