  1. I don’t think the area feels the same because there are no kangaroos and hardly any people in the area. There’s no much atmosphere. There aren’t any shows or demonstrations because these were mostly targeted at the international audience. If the kangaroos are brought back and they begin to reintroduce the demonstrations (even if it’s just on weekends for now), then that will slowly bring the area back to what it was. Even when the train reopens that might help the activity of the area because I’d imagine some people won’t go back there because it’s a long walk. But a refurbishment of the entire area would certainly be welcomed, but I don’t think is a priority right now.

  2. I think it makes sense to get rid of it. Something to look at from the train. It's still not exactly a pretty ride, but it's way more interesting to look at than the wall so good call I say.

  3. The covering is current being stored under the GD so it might return, but with that area opened up more and the train passing right next to it, I don’t think it should return. Maybe they have removed some trees to allow for something new their installing for the ride?

  4. It seems the station refurb is complete. I really like the new signage. And the colour scheme is fantastic. I hope the little train under the clock is turned on again too. Can you spot what’s wrong in this photo (hopefully they will go back and finish it off) And the placement of this guy is interesting They have also rebuilt/patch up the brickwork too

  5. Reduce the price...$19 sounds better than $25. Make it $10 for AP except during historically busy periods. Better to have four people ride for $40 then one for $25

  6. I suppose we're pushing shit uphill to think anyone might have a MW park map from the early 90s... My first visit was 1994. LT Stage was actually where RRRC sits now as far as I recall. Where Carousel is now used to be an LT merch shop which played (gasp) a laserdisc of LT cartoons on a small tube TV. Shop was absolutely STUFFED full of plush toys and quality LT memorabilia. There was a food outlet to the right of the LT Stage (Sam's Diner?), the front of which I think was boarded up a while ago as it was rarely open tucked away in the back corner of kids land. I think it serves only as an on-ride photo scanning kiosk for Road Runner. Going off the timeline on Wiki - The LT Land only had river ride, Taxis, an 'unknown playground' and the LT stage (open air) on opening and no new additions were made until 1997 - Marvin Rocket, Tweety Cages, Taz Cars and Sam Train. The carrots were where the table and chairs are. Inside they had 90's era touch screens that kids could use to colour in LT related 'digital colouring in' pages. I recall a 'fan page' set up I think by cast members of the park, devoted to trying to save the carrots when MW was beginning to think about removing them. Ultimately unsuccessful, I think there was some mention of them on the forums a hwile back, although I don't have the time to go trawling for it right now, you can clearly see the foundations of the carrots on the park's Google Street View I am really really racking my brain now, but I think the dilapidated shack hidden behind the character wall near the land's entrance (next to first aid) was also once a carrot, now converted and since left to rot - it has the same round shape and garden edging as the others, but I just can't be certain...

  7. The Earth curves about 8 inches per mile. As a result, on a flat surface with your eyes 5 feet or so off the ground, the farthest edge that you can see is about 3 miles away.

  8. Yeah agree. Refreshing to see that garbage abandoned.

  9. This station really disappointed me, as did Green Lantern. Movie World really stepped away from their thematic roots here

  10. Both Superman and Batwing are closed until further notice. 4 rides closed during a school holiday period isn’t the best look.

  11. Ok, just remember the target was 70%, than 80%, now 90%. And now Thursday next week the unvaxxed can go anywhere. This is nothing to do with health. And there is an election coming up.
