You guys remember that time I was heavily criticised for saying that insiders told me that there were problems with the Leviathan structure which would lead to a delay but I was basically told I'm an idiot that I couldn't be trusted and I shouldn't be listening to the dippin' dots guy? Haha, that was great. It's sometimes fun to reminisce.

When the two parties involved (that is, the government, and the park) have both publicly stated the same thing on the record, it seems pretty factual to me. I acknowledge your mystery insider information for which you can't reveal. I don't want to circularise the discussion, so if I may reword my original post in line with your suggestion:

To be clear I have no issue with someone posting “Ive heard this” or “all evidence we have points to that”. I take issue when someone tries to argue their point by saying something is FACT when they don’t actually know that, and more so when I do actually know it to be factually correct. Likewise if I post something which I can’t give evidence/source for I don’t expect everyone to believe it. But I don’t expect anyone to say “no you are 100% factually wrong.” Just trying to give people as much information as I possibly can about things without crossing a line. Take it or leave it, that’s up to you.

That's because people misconstrued what I said to be some detrimental doomsday scenario instead of an operational hurdle. I never said that the ride wouldn't test or continue along once the problem was solved, but I did mention to expect delays, and what was slyly updated a couple of days later on the website? Not everything is about you.

If I remember correctly they had an issue of trains colliding in the station on Steel Vengeance?

RMC’s do look good but there is a couple issues from what i’ve heard. The main issue i’ve heard is the trains; the lap bars are apparently very hard and bulky with nothing to actually hold onto, which when mixed with RMC’s aggressive airtime pops makes for an uncomfortable ride experience. I also heard this about the Single Rails which are supposedly not as bad, the issue is more with the straps. There are also issues with certain rides like Lightning Rod and TC, a lot of times parts have been recalled causing the ride to be down, it’s happened to WWGLC, RB, ST and JDC at least 2 times in the year and a bit. Imo if the new team can fix these issues I could see Dreamworld adding an RMC, but with its current track record maybe it isn’t the best option even if the rides themselves do look amazing. B&M, Mack and Vekoma are the main coaster manufactures i can see them working with.

Maybe it was a block zone issue? I am one of those who is unaware.

I've said this before but I really enjoy GL, purely for how slow it goes through the elements and just lets you hang. As an aside, the easiest way to not be compared to Rivals, get an Aussie first is get a 'gimmick' coaster, like Flying, Wing, Stand Up, Free Spin, 4D, Dive ect. Hybrid, although cool, won't work. To us the difference is massive, to the GP, its not as noticeable, or easy to market.

Yes, CEO's do spin, that's also called marketing. But that doesn't mean that any quote of theirs should be taken as an inherent lie, just cause some people on a forum said so. Unless there is a defined base for it to stand on, from an outsider, it is baseless. If it's true, then great, what's done is done. If it's not, still great. Doesn't change anything anyway, the outcome's still the same. This is just fighting over semantics.

Like I originally said, I wouldn't have mentioned it, but the willingness to drink the koolaid and gleefully accept something which wasn't true played into my reading of it. I did want to leave a comment that says 'He has a vision for the park and that's the first time anyone has said that for several decades which is encouraging', but the comment about how that little untruth put critism to bed was impossible not to answer with the truth. I actually agree with this.

That's the problem. I've never said a thing, unless I've personally seen it with my own eyes. I wouldn't live by the sword on second hand information.

Yeah I getcha, I've been in other circles where I've both been the one with insider info, and the one hearing (way too many) other people try pass off that they do. So, I've kind of learned from that experience to just not trust any 'insider info' til there's legitimate proof behind it, and sit pretty til what I know, is.

I think what we currently have is heaps of evidence pointing towards a fact, so unless there is (sourcable) heaps of evidence pointing towards another, it's nothing more than fiction/rumours. Be it that Future Labs was never getting built, or that Leviathan is sinking into the abyss, til there's solid reason to believe that they're the case, they're not.

Not much of a Future Lab if the project was dependent on a key stakeholder and that stakeholder left. And if the dissolution of Corroboree is anything to go you could safely assume Dreamworld wasn't planning on going down the Future Lab route without that key stakeholder. Because drinking the kool-aid rots your teeth.

Is my card still valid or do I need to buy a new one?
