  2. And just think, all you'd need to do is move the studios. You would then need to buy 2 of the world's longest coasters. The Beast (1979) Cost: $4000000 USD So..... Add some inflation: Now don't forget, we're buying 2 of them.... Now that's just in USD, so let's convert that back.... A quick bit of math... New ride to fill the space: $40,000,000 Plus the cost of demolition of the studios Plus the millions of dollars lost there once they're gone. Equals: You're full of shit.

  3. ^It makes about as much sense as complaining that Bugs Bunny is not a real rabbit.

  6. Probably because I am married to a real one lol. It's an industry I have been closely tied into for a large chunk of my life, as I worked in radio for years and got to know a lot of GC ones. Also did mixing lessons at one stage too, so I was an amateur DJ for a while ? To say the least, I know there is a LOT more skills, effort & homework involved to hold a real DJ title ? So yeah, it does shit me a little when someone labels themselves a DJ when they have very little musical or professional talent. Just like I can't stand Paris Hilton lol?? It's a pet peeve close to my heart, to say the least ?

  7. Why is everyone so angry at the DJ? jusy think of them as a performer in a show and not as a DJ. They are playing the PART of a DJ and I think it made perfect sense in the context of the show.

  8. I visited LPS today and noticed this underway at the old Big Dipper station. Entrance for the Tumble Bug was via some stairs that are in the staff only area, which has been kind of sectioned off for the public to use. A large area on the platform beside the Tumble Bug was also fenced off. Probably just building works, but wouldn't it be nice if.....

  10. Ahh the good old eagle hey? Every time i've been to OP, it's been closed. Considering the condor debuted in 1984 - i think we can think of something better.

  12. No, a more permanent structure does not mean a carnival ride is any better. It's the same ride, just with theming. This isn't Aussie World. Village Roadshow parks have quality standards. And sadly they have just dropped their bar in a major way if they think a 20+ year old show ride is what people expect to be added to their Park. No offense but I really hope you and Leviathan are wrong with your prediction ???

  13. I'm not a car/motorsports person and not huge on the idolatry of sporting figures. The amount of foot traffic I've seen going through the museum seems to suggest that the average Dreamworld guest agrees with me. That said, the new parts of the area are really well presented. The food is a welcome improvement though most burger chains do equivalent or better gourmet fare these days. The beer is mid-strength and served in plastic cups, so about all you can say about the alcohol is that it exists. Hot Wheels Sidewinder is a pretty rubbish coaster with an improved train, bizarre on-ride audio and half-done theming.
