  1. Eh... That's more of a Shelbyville idea...

  2. I kinda of disagree with the it's just a station. At Dreamworld yes, Sea World maybe, Movie World no. It's already a stretch that the park now has bare roller coasters given it was meant to have an immersive movie theme. Green Lantern though is just sub par. There is nothing themed about it at all. It's barely more than a traveling carnival ride in its presentation. Fortunately it's the exception to the rule and anything that's gone in since has been really great. I don't think we should set any sort of standard by GL.

  3. Whoa. Did you just compare Movie World to Disneyland? come on... Movie World has done a great job with DD, and a few others before it, but that doesn't justify that sort of comparison... Batwing? Green Lantern? Lethal Weapon \ Arkham (pre-VR), pretty much all of WB Kids, HWSD v2, v2.1, v2.2 all the way through to - wait what is it now? v2.97853? With Movie World's track record on theming, with the exclusion of Scooby Doo, I think we can expect a nice full circuit coaster, with a decent theme applied to the station and queue... which i'm taking to translate to your 'relatively unthemed' classification.

  4. The Parkz Update: : Foundations continue to appear for Movie World's 2017 roller coaster It's a while yet before we can make any real sense of the mess of footings that will eventually connect with the roller coaster's hundreds of support columns, but construction progresses on Warner Bros. Movie World's 2017 roller coaster. Click here to continue reading

  6. I did see a dildos update, but it was in my email and certainly 100% NOT related to a theme park.

  7. I'm not fussed about theming if it's a kick ass ride, and sometimes simple theming can be effective - like Top Thrill Dragster, with the sound effects, Christmas lights and bleachers makes every time it launches a spectacle, builds anticipation while you're waiting and makes people on the midway stop and watch.

  8. I actually hope it's not anything like GL's station or queue. To me, GL seems too temporary and out of place. It's almost like the ride is an afterthought, or even a travelling ride that's just been whacked in some empty space. I guess I prefer something with a little substance, theming etc. rather than just an RCT3-style station with a queue leading up and a path leading out, and that's about it. If this roller coaster really is going to be a world drawcard, I would like to see it well-themed and carefully thought over. To me, that's WBMW's strength compared to DW. The theming is always strong and makes sense, with the exception of GL and BWSS. I really hope there is at least some effort (eg. a show stage or a substantial sort of queue/entrance/surrounding area) put into this coaster.

  13. No. I was referring to this (made a little 'artist' impression so everyone sees it better):

  14. I definitely agree that theming doesn't make the ride, it's just with WBMW's track record of theming, which ranges from decent to fantastic, an unthemed (or relatively unthemed) ride would be like an unthemed ride at Disneyland.

  15. Should have used a capital in the first post to show you were referring to a person... Capitalization rule #2 Use capitals for proper nouns. In other words, capitalize the names of people, specific places, and things. Still wasn't funny though...
