  1. @Ryande16 I drove past it this afternoon, and turned into MW and drove past the site slowly and there wasn't anything major to take photos of. There were a few more footings, some more materials, but thats it. But as @AlexB, if there is something worth saying about, or taking photos of, don't worry, we will if possible and will post them.

  3. Alright, I was holding off on posting a review after the first night I went (1 Oct) and did the UTT. I figured, it's night one, not everything is going to go to plan, and it didn't but it's not 100% fair to judge them on that. However I've now been on the UTT twice, and to the event 3 times so I feel more comfortable in assessing it. As I'm sitting here tonight deciding which images I might edit and post, I started looking at photos from 2015. I really shouldn't have. The more I look at the photos from last year, the more I'm let down by this years' event. It really does seem like there was a lot of budget cuts to the event this year. So, in my opinion: The Negative: > There's no actors anywhere other than main street. > There's less actors this year on main street (or at least there seems to be) > I know it's never going to change, but I'll say it again like I did in 2014 and 2015, the dance music IMO doesn't suit the event. > The event was oversold > The UTT was oversold > Fast track was oversold > The "tour" on the UTT was, well......weak. Think back to last year. A walk through WB Kids with multiple 'scenes' to stop and watch, with the tour then culminating in a ride on the merry go round while being attacked by zombies. This year? Enter a room, hear a story, get ushered out of a room by 3 or 4 actors. Last years tour would have taken around 10+ actors (at a guess) and worked really well. This years' tour took 5, was shorter, and left people going "that's it? oh". I agree with them. > The behind the scenes rooms in the mazes. These are both a positive and negative. They're good fun, but this year, you've done one, you've done them all. It is fun squirting water at people though. > No fire show > The actors in main street were mostly repeats of previous years > It felt like it was trying to be more "family-friendly". IMO they should make FN 18+ only and make it really scary and gory. Leave Carnivale for the families and Xmas for the kids. The Positive: > The terror lounge was bigger and a nicer venue > The food on offer was great quality and there was plenty to go around > The mazes - F13, and WW, even though they were recycled mazes they were done really well as usual and still felt new enough to be enjoyed. FDTD, having never seen the show, the maze seemed pretty good. It was a 'fun' maze. C2 - this is the big name as we all know, and it was really well done. Having seen it with the lights on really showed the amount of detail that went in to it and I really enjoyed it. > The behind the scenes areas of the mazes are fun but repetitive. Trying to scare people is fun and it was also nice to see the commercial set behind FDTD. > The performers did well to stay in character when approached by guests. I only saw one break character and that was to provide directions to a guest, which IMO would have been rude of them not to, but it was also rude of the guest to approach a performer rather than a staff member. > Make up was great Overall: The tour felt lacking and there was not enough actors in main street. I'll admit there were massive improvements between the 1st and the 15th, but even with the changes for the better, it was still lacking. I just hope that whatever sapped their budget this year (I'm looking at you DD, coaster, expansion plans & WnWS) doesn't have as much of an impact next year and 2017 can be just as kick ass as 2015 was. We'll just pass 2016 off as a glitch in the matrix. Last year I gave FN 8.5/10. This year, if I'm being generous I'd give it a 5.8/10. I just couldn't get into it this year which is sad since I'm usually a huge advocate for Fright Nights. For reference:

  4. Well, actually, that's pretty much exactly what it means... the negative reputation point to bullshit algorithm is practically flawless..

  5. @Ryande16 patience... when someone gets down there, and notices something new, they'll take pictures and post them. Nobody is sitting there at their computer going "Should I post these pics I took? Naw... nobody has asked for them yet". Things to remember: there tends to be more updates during school holidays as people have more time to spend at the parks. @Theme Park Girl doesn't work the same hours anymore, so updates from her will be less frequent. (I'm sure she'll still live there as much as possible!) During October, many people go mainly to attend fright nights, and most don't spend the whole day there. Arriving at 4pm or later, its harder to get shots of the area out front as traffic is fairly busy with day visitors leaving and night visitors coming. In the main, the big attraction on the forums right now is Fright Nights. Once its over focus will change back to the coaster There are only so many photos of footings, dirt, concrete pumpers and guys wearing hi-vis that you can post before it gets repetitive. Even if they'd put new footers out closer to AOS\WnW, the photos wouldn't look much different. An aerial photo would be worthy of an update - but sadly Nearmap doesn't update that regularly, and most people don't fly over the park. On that note - if anyone is loaded and decides to take a Sea World heli-tour on the big run out to movie world - take an aerial shot!!! #PatienceIsTheKey

  6. Hard to disagree with any of that Reanimated i agree with being a strict policy on age to allow the scares to ramp up. Making it 18+ probably cuts out too much of their market, but I'd certainly make it 15 or 16+, strictly. At that age they can see MA15+ movies at the cinema and that should be the level of offering for FN

  8. Twisted Colussus is one of my favourite ever coasters and it's not tall at all. It's not the height, it's what you do with it. #thatswhatshesaid

  9. So at the end of my relaxing and theme park filled little holiday away from Sydney, I too will sing the praises and virtues of the Star Tour as did it today (with a couple of Parkz members as well that I stupidly forgot to find out their forum name but looking at past posts I suspect it was @Invertedand his wife. Hi again if it was) Firstly Scott and Luke were great as hosts and did a great job with their fun facts and interesting Easter eggs they pointed out along the way and I'm guessing the cat's out the bag as were no "don't tell anyone else stories" like the early tours had. Ticked all the boxes from the previous tours with AA walk, SE pre start up/winch room, JL3D walk, kitchen,Stunt Driver stuff,Scooby Walk etc. As well as a little bonus of the Friday the 13th maze walk through and when I mentioned that maybe future tours could incorporate the Villians Unleashed interactive area to my surprise we all got a free RFID wristband which was a cool unexpected bonus! Other random thoughts - Killer Croc and the Joker are the 2 best elements in VU and a lot of fun getting unsuspecting people standing in the wrong spots - VR on AA is amazing and can never go back to just riding it normally after that plus getting 2 free rides of it helped ? - Seeing all the front roller coaster construction in person instead of through these forums was a treat and really got an idea of just how massive this coaster is gonna be seeing the size of the area All in all a good day was had by all

  13. Like i said its just one of the many rumours i have heard, but seems to be one of the more realistic ones judging by its stats, and comparing it to Macks only other hyper Flash. But realistically a hyper is as big as WBMW could go atm without going broke.

  14. Good point, i just think they would install a hyper first seeing they are cheaper then Giga's.

  17. Dammit, can't you see the Mack boxes are just a smokescreen for the fact this coaster will be Inatmin's masterpiece: New Millennium GeForce will be so tall it will have planes swerving and the neighbors screaming blue murder to the council. In other news, Kim Kardashian went 24 hours without taking a selfie.
