  1. A Joker’s Madhouse raptor would of been sick, let’s hope they haven’t canceled it and it will be popping up in less than a decade.

  2. If there's no press release.... did it even happen? 😮

  3. I’m guessing that was the original information given to the staff, as when people were first coming out on what was shown it was a “dark green coaster”, not seen on the coast and unique, which does not fit woo at all. Fingers crossed they chose to move this project back instead of cancelling it🫠

  4. The event is back from September 17 to October 9. Belinda’s Barnyard Buddies petting zoo, spring-themed entertainment, American-style eats, showbags and even a very special performance from Shannon Noll. https://www.dreamworld.com.au/what-s-on/spring-county-fair/

  5. Ooooh, I can comment on that now (Trip report probably in a week or two) It actually felt quite awkward. When you entered a turn on the ‘inside’ you’d get this feeling of braking suddenly (because physics, the car is following a shorter path than the chassis) so it didn’t really flow well as a ride. Looks interesting offride, and I gave it a good 5 or 6 laps to be sure, but it didn’t really impress overall. I think the one at Skara will be the only one ever built.

  6. They didn't have to get a license for it so no need for a press release

  7. ...And there you have it, quicker than anticipated! http://www.wonderlandhistory.net/sites/default/files/almost_beach1.jpg Not much more info to go from, but it looks like they were realigning the entrance to the beach to market it as a separate gate. Still no detail on what the skateboard ride was, but the overall plan is definitely intriguing and very sad it never came about...

  8. Dunno why we’ve never seen a really good spinner like the one at Chessington. I could see that as a good fit at DW.

  9. Wild really would have been a bad expansion if Village went ahead with it, it never made much sense. Glad that Leviathan/Trident takes up that land now. Wizard of Oz was meant to be a Joker's Madhouse themed Raptor - custom layout, etc, before they went with the family coasters. Doomsday was originally planned as a very tall condor (144m, taller than the dreamworld tower) sitting in the middle of Superman's helix - before they decided to chuck a different ride in Boot Hill. An ampitheatre in Gold Rush and a themed lazy river in the old boneyard/thunderbolt spot were weird choices and weren't going to achieve the same effect ST could. Just a few I can tick off the list, most are public knowledge but always good to recap.

  11. I’ve just joined, but in terms of dreamworld’s next family addition, i feel like either a small scale dark ride/ or water ride will fit well, maybe even a combination of the two, considering dreamworld is full of flats & coasters (not including sky voyager). Then after that a RMC raptor would give them an airtime machine, which they desperately need.

  12. If we’re going for a B&M, why not a dive coaster? Something like Baron 1898 is probably about the right scale and price, and would complement Steel Taipan in the lineup. Personally I’d love Vekoma Bermuda Blitz. Lech Coaster is very, very good for its size and offers a lot of bang for buck.
