Funfields new attractions 2017/18
New display name replied to GoGoBoy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Fairfields building the hype for a new attraction. I wonder if they are talking about the TornadoWAVE. This was in the paper last year and it said it was for 2017/2018 season. " A TORNADO is set to hit Whittlesea township next year as Funfields amusement park prepares to install its next big ride. The TornadoWAVE waterslide is one of many new attractions on the horizon." -

I haven't. Just in case you wanted to know. I don't get the whole build 3 rides at once every 20-year plan. Maybe his from MW marketing. They don't even think THE BEST RIDE EVER!!!!!!!! being built in Australia is worth getting out of bed for. -
Fright Nights 2017 IP Speculation

I like Chucky. I 'm a bit worried about the Blair Witch Project if they were to make it too realistic we could all end up with snot on us. I've always wanted them to do something with the rides but now might not be a good time. -

I wish DW was more like Six Flags parks. You might want to have a look who RMC biggest customers are before saying that. I'm not the biggest fan of riding spin coasters. -

I hope these people are not working on the Hyper commercial. They might tell us that 0.004 guest will shit their paints while riding. -

Some of the dolphins have been going to acting classes for a while now. Village Roadshow have invented a camera that takes moving pictures. They point this new invention towards the seasoned actors and it all just comes together like magic. -
I agree @AlexB but I've wasted enough time on him already.

@Brad2912 You must have turned up while they were on a break. I did a head count for you and I counted 7 Logan Steel workers. The containers were getting unloaded and a few of the workers were working on the track they had already installed between Stengel Dive and the Inclined Dive Loop. (Look at us, Richard has us talking all proper) Both cherry pickers were being used. -

In some games, not only do you need to hit a target but each section within the target is like a large dartboard. That is well above my paygrade of golfing. I will stick to I hope to get it into any hole game.- 499 replies

@wileecoyote What's your excuse? Aren’t you the one who was trying to sell us fake Hyper heights.

A park I want to visit is Kings Island. The Beast would be a good start. i also noticed an "overview" has never been written for Kings Island so that would be good too.

Theme Park Maintenance Schedules 2017
New display name replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I think it went down in November last year for its annual maintenance. "Closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 14th November and will re-open Monday 26th December 2016." Annual meaning yearly “to me” suggest SDSC is not due for annual maintenance before November. Wishful thinking or have we just cracked the code? -

@Glubbo No major tunnels. The target structure is very simple. Picture a corrugated water tank with its top cut off & placed into the ground. A hatch/lid access point is located next to each target and to get the balls back a persons opens the hatch and climbs down the ladder. (I imagine that it will go together like this- The hatch that you see open in the picture above will be pointing toward the sky and at finished ground level. The opening that you are looking into once it is turned to the correct position it will be the bottom. All they do once it is in place is fill the opening with concrete making it the floor of the hatch. The bit on the side is the way you walk into the target) (Sorry I did hand sketch it but my scanner just died) No special system besides a person picking the balls up and placing them in a bucket. (My take on it) Each target has lights in it and whatever it uses to score. Some of the land being reclaimed for TopGolf was part of the swamp and turning a swamp into usable ground takes time. Somewhere in this topic I said how many loads of soil will be required to do this.- 499 replies

@Reanimated35 Now I don't know if you are stirring the pot. This has been a frustrating day. He said not including the underground power. Why do you want lights underground? Are you looking for worms? Music underground? I get it, if the worms have lights they need music too. No maintenance tunnels. I don't know about the electronic tracking devices but they probably need only power to operate and I assume send a signal back in the way of radio waves. (Truthfully I have no idea on how they communicate the information back). If my assuming is correct, power would be the answer and again he didn't want to talk about that.- 499 replies

@Glubbo You said not including the ball retrieval, power and drainage what is going on underground. What is this underground infrastructure you talk about that you haven't ruled out? Do you think the are building a cave for Batman under TopGolf?- 499 replies

Why do peoples' opinions matter? Ardent tried to run WWW as a separate park and they wouldn't incorporate it into DW if it was working. WWW is a great water area but Ardent needed to expand it if they wanted people to keep coming back. The last new attraction was 3 years ago, with Triple Vortex and 4 years before that with The Wedgie. One new attraction every 3 to 4 years is not going to make customers want to return every year. -
As they say when in Canada go to Canada's Wonderland. Ok, I made that up but hopefully you did. I have 2 and you can decide which one you will review. Leviathan or Behemoth
