  1. If EA can recode a game due to backlash and have it ready for a day 1 patch, they can fix a website. If Ridley Scott can recast and reshoot someone just weeks from opening date, they can fix a website. If they can put in a brand new coaster, up/downgrade a map to reflect it, they can fix the website. Hell the map icon not only hadn't been updated last i checked, but it doesn't work as advertised either. The icon is zoomed in and shows where lockers and toilets and whatnot are. Open it and only get the rides.
  2. Isn't this like the 3rd consecutive iteration of a Light Horse show anyway?
  3. I think that's more the stigma around golf than anything. The moment its miniaturized or put infront of a lake, its a different story, when all in all aqua golf is exactly the same thing.
  4. As everyone's saying, VRTP are turning the area into a resort. So look at it like its the Florida parks. You have Universals plot of land that encases 2 theme parks, a water park across the road, several hotels, countless restaurants, pubs and clubs AND a cinema. Meanwhile down at Disney: 2 water parks, 3 or 4 theme parks, as many hotels as DW has Turbines, Disney Springs and whatever isn't accessible by Monorail, you can get to by boat. So instead of looking at it like a random item between 2 parks and a movie studio, look at it like Stage 3 in a 5 stage master plan, cause that's probably what it is.
  5. We know what you meant, were just taking the piss out of you. We're Australian, it's what we do.
  6. This is one of those moments where i'm bored enough to consider doing it, but i'm not bored enough to actually do it.
  7. Does that mean the Chairlift is the only thing left?
  8. So Neville if anyone remembers him? Iunno, as a massive Scooby fan, i'd have to disagree. Anyone that's worked retail knows you can talk about any random subject at any given time, and as such i've talked with several customers about Scooby. And any time i've ratted off a name or description of ANY villains in the seasons and shows leading up to the films, nobody has known who im talking about until i rat off where they are or what part they play in the 2nd film. Even in the Cosplay community, when i say i'm working on a Captain Cutler outfit nobody has any clue who that is until i tell them "Hes the guy in the lake in the 2nd film when they go to the clubhouse". How many members here had no idea who that was until that description? If the niche-ish market based on outdated pop culture doesn't know who that is, why would the GP know any of them? Not to mention, would you rather the ride look like it used to, or like one of the piss poor Sally Scooby shooting rides? While i may be a little biased considering the first one is my 2nd favourite live action movie behind Bootmen, the films are still relevant and remembered by many. Even the guy in the gift shop at the end seems to love it, instantly picking up on my Spooky Island shirt and then throwing facts at me (all of which i already knew). Also, the first film while lacking many of the gags of the original series' it gave us depth to the characters. Something apart from Scooby and Scrappy we hadn't seen until What's New Scooby Doo and very much the even more recent, Mystery Incorporated. It was when they added in the gags in the 2nd one where the film fell short. Also, you're suggesting a retheme of a ride based on a ghost train in a tropical themepark to a 48 year old TV show that unless you grew up on the show or are as much of a fan of it as i am, no one remembers. Let that thought sink in. If you're suggesting that, you might as well just remove everything from that ride leaving nothing but a shed and some track and theme it to Mad Max thus alienating a good chunk of your patronage.
  9. Also, encouraging you to look up also ruins the immersion in almost every ride at the park.
  10. Or there's the far fetched idea of ButtKickers in every car.
  11. While i was there on Monday i noticed 3 that raised an eyebrow and another 2 that i just found surprising. - I noticed from the old waterfall crossing, there's a bridge going across to the island. Is this new? Cause up near the shearers wharf they even have a boat sitting in the water. - For some reason they only had 1 person operating Shockwave. for something that already has terrible capacity as is, 1 person just makes it worse. If down the road they can run Battle Boats with 2 people or have 4 on Madagascar, surely you can get atleast another person for SW. - The window to rocky hollows tunnel near the path has been covered and the entire area looks in more disrepair than it did in January. - I was surprised that the Tree Kangaroos still have the lower viewing access blocked off. If Wildlife World can teach a Wallaby not to run into a 9ft glass pane in less than 6 months, shouldn't the TK's be used to small amounts of people at the least yet? Even the sugar Glider inside gave no shits and came to check us out. -It also surprised me when i saw through the Vintage cars grill and saw that looked like a leaf blower for an engine. Do they run a massive 2 stroke or something? Side note, they really need to open a path to the RH section from the front via Gold rush. That area is really dead as is and its already a pain in the ass walking to BS and the likes when i know (and can see) there's a quicker route. I know its not far and stuff, but even then, maybe it could increase foot traffic through the area and stretch out some of the crowds.
  12. Instead of putting the EL Tape into the floor, They could just run some EL Wire through the chain and have it done. If they get the right system, it can work like a complete circuit so no matter where the chain is, the entire system lights up.
  13. Meanwhile in January i had a kid vomit on me mid Pandamonium.
  14. A few things i've noticed after spending the last 3 or so days at MW and SW. -When was the Seal taken from the 2nd launch of JR? -4pm-5pm is the best time for MW. Yesterday we did Scooby, Superman, Rivals and GL in this time with a bit of waiting. and on Friday, at 430 or so Rivals was a walk on. -2/2 GL audio -Was Scooby's station always flickering Lights? Last time i rode it they were on and dimmed and it seemed a bit nicer that way. -As much as i love Scooby Doo and behind the scenes of films, that BTS video gets old quickly. -Much of the groundwork for SW's play area has been done for the water area. They just need to concrete where the dips are and i think the volcanoes are already bolted in. -The photobooth needs to not be blocked off from like 430 for the FN people. Or at least allow the exit shop people to trace back your photos if this is going to be the case. -Battle boats targets are hit and miss when it comes to activating -Headed down to the DW carpark just to show my new-to-the-GC friends what that parks like, and at about 2/230 the carpark was half full. -Arkhams NFC Reset is a fantastic idea -First time riding Arkham, and now i see why people say its rough as shit. -JL needs to fix its 3D convergence and reset times. When Starro gets confronted by everyone, as you turn the corner to leave that scene, if you watch the screen as you pass you notice the 3d doesn't follow you very well like Spiderman and Transformers and the likes and the video resets while you can still see it without turning around. -They also need to fix the registering of the targets. I hit heaps but either i got no feedback or they didnt go lights out. Even the dog went to normal when nobody shot him. -There were no door portals and the Smokescreen was very dim. -The wonders you can do theming wise with a simple roof. with the Scooby queue and a degree of Storm being the only exceptions. Ie, look above cyborg or above the MRT. Breaks immersion. -When did Storms splash section turn into a constant waterfall instead of a bucket drop? -tThere are some COTD animatronics with the sensors that aren't working too.
  15. Black Lives Matter primarily. Because of the source material.
  16. Well they're trying to get splash taken down but that's for a completely different reason altogether.
  17. I rode it today right before closing (4.45 and just had to wait 1 cycle) and i must say the power in that thing is like sex while camping. Also, 1/1 GL Audio, but it crackled on the out turn almost cutting out.
  18. If it was comparable to that time Pamela Anderson maxed out Dreamworld 10 or so years ago, i'd say yes.
