Attract customers. Limit supply to drive demand. Like how Aldi used to only carry limited quantities of items on specials days, till fair trading complaints rolled in.

Ring Racer. Never really operated, reportedly exploded once, also lots of dodgy deals and corruption with that entire precinct probably didn't help.- 329 replies

It could be as simple as a second piece of track has been identified as needing replacement. And either Mack can't fit it into their schedule, or Movie World didn't want to pay extra to get it sooner.

The parks don't seem to be bothered by the slow throughput. Less wear and tear on their machinery, less power consumed. And the punters still cough up their money. I doubt anything will change. -

The highest wind gust taken from the seaway tower in the morning was 13 knots. At 2.98m AHD - http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ60801/IDQ60801.94580.shtml Good chance readings are very different along the shoreline between 3 & 42m, especially when the convection driven sea breeze kicks in. -

There's been comments on the exit walls by several reviews. Looking at the photos, they seem a little temporary? Like they don't match the floor (gaps etc) and the support frame is visible next to the photo viewing area. Almost like they were chucked in because they couldn't finish everything for opening, so focussed on the entry themeing and will (hopefully) come back and fix the exit as they can. What do those that have attended think of that theory? -

I'm surprised no one here has tried to work out what it is from the shape of the slab. -
It didn't operate at all yesterday between open and when we left at 1.30pm. Not even a test run that I saw (arrived at 9.50am). Was on the boards as operating though.

Yeah, I sort of remember my first ride years ago. Had just caught the coaster bug, so would ride anything. Hadn't seen the movie either. Walked in through the doors, not sure where to go in the sudden darkness. Long slow queue in the large room. Then this narrow hallway. Then these little carts. Reminded me kind of, of the wild mouse at the show. "oh, alright, just a quick ride then". Then of course all the dips, turns, axes. No glasses on, but could tell we'd reached something different because couldn't see ahead plus the bump of the track join. Definitely a memorable experience first time. -

Probably to connect the winch to the chassis so they could pull it up the loop.
