May 25th, i was really enjoying having no juniors around. No kids standing outside my roll class selling KFC hot and spicy for a dollar a pop, whilst also implementing a 'you owe me' policy for the kids with no money.

Let me translate to the non-generation z's, he is referring to a meme for a horror game 'Five Nights at Freddy's' that was so successful that it had a particular long line of sequels and spin-offs. I'm not sure on the meme he is referring to, i just know the game was popular a couple of years back. I expect payment by the end of the month.

I think a Gerstlauer Infinity coaster would work really well in Arkham Asylum's space, the ride does not need that much space which is something Movie World might struggle with. Also, on the lines of IPs. It honestly doesn't matter what it is when it is done right. Wild West Falls is very loosely based on the movie, which i don't know many people who have actually seen that movie yet it is one of the most popular attractions at the park. I know the wild west as a whole is a very known concept and easy to market, but the point still stands.

I've started playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 recently, mainly OpenRCT2. I was just wondering if anyone recently has played it. I saw it for nothing on Steam, so i decided to purchase. I was born the year after the game was released, so obviously i don't particularly have nostalgia for it. Never the less i am enjoying myself.

I remember seeing the tracks for the ride during my holiday in 2014 when we visited Scenic World, it's finally good to hear the story behind the abandoned tracks.

I went on Arkham once, never again. It was so painful.

I hope they leave some sort of statue or plaque behind for the Tower of Terror II (and the first one i suppose), sad seeing it go. -

A much-needed position at all theme parks
Prequel replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
You need a reminder that Disney is one of if not the largest company in the world. As said previously, almost all of what you want them to do, they are already doing. The people behind these parks are experts in their field, they know more than you in tourism and theme park management, what ever you think of, they have already thought of.- 14 replies

A much-needed position at all theme parks
Prequel replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
You seem to have taken quite the time to write this all out, however i think you have forgotten that Movie-World and Dreamworld already collect data on guest experience, also the people who work their aren't just given the job after an afternoon working at Hungry Jacks, they already have a lot of experience in the field of Tourism. The vast majority of the things you listed, they already do. Obviously you seem to be a bit disappointed over the changes made to the Scooby-Doo ride and the presentation at the beginning of Sky-Voyager, but no need to question their ability to run the park.- 14 replies

All these ideas sound good and all, but closing the park down for anything more than 3 months, spending hundreds of millions of dollars on completely changing the park, and then changing the name sounds like a fantasy. Yes the Dreamworld name has some dirt on it since the unfortunate event, but it also holds nostalgic value. The only thing i think Dreamworld needs is some proper investment and care. What i'd do with Dreamworld is work with what you have. So unfortunately MDMC will be staying. Also bring back something on the lines with Dreamworld Insiders, it'd probably have to be a new cast, but it will be a lot of fun. Trying to keep rides a float for a long period of time is the first thing i would do, and then build a RMC Hydrid, to gain some more guests. I also really loved the idea of nostalgic advertising, it would be really neat.

I don't have the slightest clue on Ardent's and Dreamworld's financial status. But removing and replacing rides is very expensive, so it'd be a slow process. I think just need a big attraction for the thrill seekers, there is no reason to go to Dreamworld these days, the rides aren't bad but they've been there for so long they don't interest the public. But i like the idea of the nostalgic marketing, it would be a good move.

I still can't help to feel a bit underwhelmed. Magicians are cool and all, but i don't think i'll be heading down to Dreamworld to catch him. Dreamworld is like the alcoholic brother that you want to get better, but just doesn't. Which saddens me, had a blast when i use to head down a few years ago, really no point to going to Dreamworld these days at least in my opinion.

I feel like Dreamworld maybe be just a tad over hyping here. Didn't really need to be doing this whole revealing information one at a time scheme, whatever it is, i don't think it's enough to draw me back to Dreamworld.

Darwin getting a water park is cool and all, but the video showed me how modern Darwin actually is. I don't expect to be in Darwin anytime soon but this is great news for Northern Territory tourism and the people of Darwin and its surrounding area's.

If someone wanted to make a Dreamworld recreation. They have the right rides to do it, we still don't have a motorcycle model by intamin though.

The summer update is right behind the corner, so i am probably going to dive right into this. I haven't played much planet coaster but i think i just might get back into it. Speaking of summer update, it looks absolutely amazing. Fireworks, billboards, Impulse. The one thing i don't think i am a huge fan of is the inverting pirate ship thing, i don't think i will be adding that to my park.

The Sponge Bob Boasting School Blast over at Sea-world is my favourite. The Air-time on that is amazing, best coaster in the world in my opinion.

[Wishful Thinking] The Gold Rush Replacement
Prequel replied to Reanimated35's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I personal don't think they will be changing the theme, with all the money issues right now. Completely redoing the theme is a lot of money. Getting a new theme after 30 years or so developing that area is unlikely. Looking at the way Dreamworld is going. A family based ride is probably our best bet. The one thing we are missing is a solid Wooden Coaster. Wooden coasters are great for the fact that it can be a great stepping stone for all the young thrill seekers who want to do all the big rides on the coast. You can argue that the Mick Doohan coaster is this stepping stone, but that it's being marketed as a thrill ride. But as i was saying about the wooden coaster. Its great for young thrill seekers and thrill seekers alike. Also a big clean up of that area is a must.
