  1. today was hell, opening crowd for scooby stretched out to Main street, finding anything under a 2hr wait midday onwards was near impossible.
  2. out of all the stuff going on at Dreamworld right now i think Sky Voyagers facade isn’t anywhere near a priority to them as it shouldn’t be one.
  3. to end off the 2022 year, DD, WWF and GL are all closed.
  4. it sounds like you want to transform the ride into Dreamworld? I think they should get a new Vekoma Launched coaster similar to Formula at Energylandia, then a family woodie then just some flats like a Drop Tower.
  5. if you look at the video, the noise for the breaks goes off as the ride is shooting back up the tower again however it falls back again then catches itself, im thinking something went wrong.
  6. i’ve seen another video where the ride is just like Buzzsaw and does actually stops when it goes back up the tower, im guessing there was an issue which caused it to do that in that video?
  7. on Gumbuya’s Instagram they’ve posted a video of Project Zero’s cycle, it looks like the breaking isn’t as bad as it does another cycle before breaking, meaning it doesn’t have as much speed entering the breaks. FullSizeRender.MOV
  8. i was going to say from the videos i’ve seen the ride does sound a bit smoother and less clanky. i never rode Buzzsaw (the GP side of me was terrified of it) but it does look like it’ll be a great fit at Gumbuya World, it’s gone from a filler to a headliner.
  9. the Dreamland Parent Centre opened today in time for the school holidays. https://www.instagram.com/p/CmfXU_evnWT/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= The Remota Boats have also opened up today at the park, they are $5 for 5mins. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cmf-_gJJhVx/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  10. When looking at MovieWorld, removing the Supervillians Unleashed area would be a great start, it doesn’t fit in where it’s places. In that spot would be the WoO area, i feel like it makes more sense in this area of the park. WoO would still include the two coasters and now a new intamin dome ride theatre in the soundstage that the showcase currently occupies. I’d then refurbish the Arkham Asylum area and make it a themed area instead of just a ride backdrop, this area would include a new RMC Joker Singer Rail (like the one they were allegedly interested in buying) and either a new flat ride or relocate DD to this area of the park. The rest of the money would be used for cosmetic refurbishments park wide (like replacing the stars surrounding the fountain as it’s looking tired) and a full refurb of SDSC, this would include re-doing the dark ride section back to its original form, track replacement in the disco room, and maybe a surprise or two at the end of the ride to replace that final dip as it is a bit painful (maybe a drop track?) who even knows if this could all be done within the budget but the park would be in its best state imo.
  11. I honestly wouldn’t mind MDMC being replaced by a GCI Woodie, i think they could fit it in the area the ride occupies however if not it could even travel over into the RHLR area with another new ride also being added into that area.
  12. can confirm i nearly had a stroke reading this, i still don’t understand how they know all that from some pink track in the background of a video?
  13. there isn’t any mention at all, i have no idea how they got that information out of that video.
  14. I do remember it being stated on here or somewhere else that the gondola’s were replaced prior to the refurb with the exact same type of gondola, the new ones have “the giant drop” on the steel covering above the riders and less baggy otsr’s.
  15. I was, that’s why i said “i could’ve just had poor experiences / memory and the events actually pretty good” at the end. Im genuinely asking if it’s ever been great cause i’m just thinking back of what i can remember and even though i liked it, i’m looking back on what i remember now being like it doesn’t seem the best.
  16. I might be the only one but i feel like the events never been great? It was definitely the weakest of the 3 events when it was at MovieWorld, then it moved to SeaWorld as the only night event and could stand on its own but now they have Spooky Nights, which is better then Carnivale. To me, the events always just been long lines, average overpriced food and a good parade / performances. But who knows i could’ve just had poor experiences / memory and the events actually pretty good
  17. i will say this is the most random thing i’ve read on here. A ride stopping upside down, even if it’s for the safety of guests, would be frightening for those on board, especially since probably all of them wouldn’t know they’re safe. The hangtime on Pandemonium makes me uncomfortable enough, i can’t imagine being stuck like that for 1-2mins, and that gives the media so much opportunity to twist it into the dramatic narrative they love spreading about the parks. It’s a quick, easy story that gains them a lot of attention and traction, smart business move but shitty morals.
  18. For the first time, Vortex, Trident and Leviathan are all operating. For anyone’s that ridden Leviathan after it’s downtime, is there any noticeable differences with their operations or in general?
  19. work will be taking place all over the park across the next 24months, when else do you suggest they do it?
  20. 7 News also put another post up about the ride closures today. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmDQVjeNNzC/?igshid=Nzg3NjI1NGI= i’m glad to hear that my source was either wrong or the issues were resolved quicker then expected, the rides now expected to open early this week instead of late December / early January.
  21. i was counting the actual dispatch time, so from when guests are let in to when it goes again
  22. they didn’t say it was new, they asked if that’s where the old skull from TOT was located there. To answer the question, i’m pretty sure that’s where the skull was originally located prior to the refurb.
  23. in the photo above it does look like there is some maybe paint tests or something going on so i’m assuming it will be getting a repaint.
  24. i have been a couple times in holiday periods (more recently) where they have been slammed, like an hour for Sky Voyager, 45mins for Claw, GC 1 floor down the spiral ramp, MDMC all the way down the ramp ect. They do get busy now, however they don’t have those weekend bursts MovieWorld has from what i’ve seen, most of Dreamworlds big crowds form in the holidays.
  25. I like how overtime they’ve just been removing stuff and starting construction, it allows for a lot of the rides to stay open a lot longer then if they just shut the whole area down and did all the work, i can’t wait to see what this area turns into when it’s completed.
