  1. Past hour
  2. I'd come to reply about the multiple ships, gyros and ranger\twin hammers - but since that's all been taken, i'd like to point out the multiple circus tents that can't be much bigger than a disabled portaloo.
  3. I'm personally excited for the Arrow Corkscrew. Nothing screams 'iconic destination' like a 1980s roller coaster.
  4. Today
  5. Take this with a grain of salt obviously, but I had a source inform me that it was potentially getting moved to a different location in the park. Not sure if this is still going ahead as I was told this several months ago.
  6. What a shame if it goes. Best drop tower in Australia imv, it is very intense. If its time is up I hope they can replace it with another drop tower however I know the park have pretty strict height limits to work with. Would love to see an Intamin sky jump on our shores
  7. It'd be a big shame if it got removed. It's very intense: rather than slowly going up and waiting you just go up and it drops you immediately upon reaching the top. Hopefully they replace it with something intense like it.
  8. I like how diverse the ride line up is with 3 pirate ships (two of which are identical) and 2 twin hammers. Edit: Just saw the 2 gyro swings too.
  9. That's interesting. It was fun and did have a kick to it. Though it really was a carnival ride, maybe it's gotten irreparable or too expensive to maintain like you observed.
  10. Hair Raiser, which has been closed since March and supposedly in need of a significant maintenance upgrade, has been removed from Luna Park Sydney's website. I usually wouldn't find this particularly notable, as the marketing teams who run webpages aren't likely to be the first informed of ride alterations or removals, but this is sudden and unexpected. Historically LPS' website usually just marks rides as "down for maintenance", even during long closures like Wild Mouse's, so this is setting off some alarm bells for me. I think especially the fact that Wild Mouse's page was used to provide ongoing updates of the lengthy renovation, and that was so recent... if the needed upgrades were going ahead, I would have expected a similar approach. Thoughts? Anyone been to the park lately and heard/seen anything about what's going on with it?

I think it slots nicely between Actventure and Habitat Waterford, nestled in closely with Australian Disney.

  14. Probably should have been filmed across the road but I can understand why it wasn’t with another reality show currently being produced across the road.
  15. You'd require all of production to be set in that space during the broadcasts, plus many runs of fibre and so on to get back to the OB Trucks/Suites. Would be a huge mess having that area so far away from the rest of the production lot. Plus, it would most likely require changes that would prohibit it from running during park hours... You'd spend less money putting up a temp truss roof instead of trying to use that space.
  16. TBH i'm surprised they didn't utilise the Dreamworld Theatre. the video wall would easily changeover to BB styling for broadcast. (Maybe that's their wet weather plan for the future)
  17. Having outdoor stage with no roof on a live tv show on qld was so silly . When it rains it rains ! im sure they are considering a temporary fix . Cant sit there on a stage in the rain after evictions with umbrellas?
  18. Can you feed it to us on a spoon, because other than playing Rugby for the bedford blues and a Zambrero empire spanning two countries - what else is there to find? (Just to be clear here - I'm not rubbishing the Z - just asking for more info.)
  19. Big difference between a half billion dollar resort project and opening Zambrero restaurants.
  20. It's hard to tell what you're indicating - but taking our lead from most of your posts shitting on the park, it was a fair assumption that your post was intended to ridicule. The emoji didn't alter that.
  21. Bearing in Mind this was a year ago when I was there, I remember Dreamworld and WWW shutting lines at park close, (1700+line length) and MW shutting lines to get out at park close (1800-line length). In an Ideal world both parks would be open later, but that is obviously unsustainable.
