  1. Posters/billboards going up. Sorry for the phone pics. I'll post the ones from my camera when I get home.

  2. I'm ruling out a clone full stop. I'm sure MW would want to do something original for a 'world's best'.

  3. Ha ha, yeah I agree, the coaster can't be hidden by a wall. I guess I just love American politics too much Probably not for this forum but I guess I like the old idea of movieworld being all about the mystery and movie magic (rides behind closed doors - dark rids etc). Obviously a large coaster cannot be entirely indoors but there are plenty of opportunity for the track to wiz past and through themed landscaping and structures (I guess like Superman Escape). If this is visible to the public at the entry it takes away from the magic... As a kid I loved that once you walking into Movieworld you were in another world with little to no interaction with the outside. Anyway, appreciate your thoughts

  4. @MikeMacTrying to hide the new coaster would be like hooking up with Miranda Kerr and putting a bag over her head whenever you went out.

  6. Perth Royal Show setup continues. Not long to go now. I am hoping to get some photos of set up this Saturday but no promises at this stage. Photo credit to https://www.facebook.com/carnivalamusements/?fref=ts Also the RMS set up is coming along quickly. MD, PL and the Beast are nearly set up and ready to go. All Beast set up photos are from https://www.facebook.com/TheBeastRide/ and for anyone interested they have hundreds more set up photos and are going to release a set up video soon.

  7. As plausible as it sounds that Movie World had a heap of coaster parts for Scooby in tech services, then instead of moving them to Scooby, they moved them to by the side of the road for no good reason, I don't think we should dismiss the idea that they are building a MACK coaster.

  8. i think old faithful, like most geysers on flumes and rapids have a 'winter' and a 'summer' setting - and are timed specifically to either just miss, or soak the boat. it could be that you always ride on the 'winter' setting, as i've personally been soaked by the geyser. (it doesn't have to be winter to be on the winter setting either). I'm not saying WWF has this setting, just going off experience with other similar rides.

  10. But it does not matter how much this wall cost because Mexico will pay for it.

  11. If it is indeed a hyper, no amount of fence is going to hide it as you drive it. Or from the highway a few Ks away for that matter.

  13. Or like the falling rocks damaging the water trough which at one time spurted water? Also have to remember with Ol Faithful that wind direction and strength can have a big affect on how wet people get going past it... Sometimes the whole amount ends up in / over the boat, other times it misses completely, sometimes it hits the boat going through the ghost town area...

  14. What you say sounds logical, and of course that is what they would do, but the park has been dropping hints - leaving a red herring out to fool people would have been genius.

  15. Ive been lucky enough to visit six flags MM, and a coaster like Goliath, x2 or full throttle would be an awesome addition to movie world. Also does anyone know if the area fenced off is big enough for a traditional up and back hyper or giga coaster?

  18. Hi all. Thanks for the great feedback everyone, we are excited too. Iwerks, season pass sale kicked off yesterday. Platinum passes will not be available till Mid August. We are also aiming to introduce a payment plan for family season passes from 1st September. I have attached a rendering (shame this wasn't shown last night as we did supply to Today tonight - they did a great job mind you). Some of the pathway detail has changed since this was done and the viewing platform cut for now to stay in budget. The road to the top is being completely resurfaced as its pretty rough on the feet just now. Most of the theming will be at the top and should have a cool "reveal" at the top of the road as you turn the corner to the right to see it all with the backdrop of the park/Bibra Lake behind it. The link to the piece will be with us shortly and we will post on our Facebook page today. We shall also post some up to date photos now that the space frame for the funnel is up. Mark mi2_render.pdf Apologies for scrubbing out some hints of theming!

  19. All The new slide Mi2 is indeed a Proslides Tornado 60. at 260m long it is the longest in the world, the steepest drop top to bottom (30m). The slide starts with a small drop to get up to speed quickly then shortly after enters a nice 360 degree section with another steep curve down then out into a long snake like section before the usual drop into the funnel. I'm sorry for those who were hoping for a hybrid. We did investigate this unfortunately the geotechnical reports showed very soft top ground which means we have in places 8m deep piles for the engineering supports. If we had added a bowl the foundations would have needed to be enormous and cost prohibitive. I think it will be a terrific slide though, along with the theming which itself is enormous and impressive. Thanks for your patience with the announcement. Please do not share on social media until after 7pm tonight. Mark Regards
