This surcharge for pay wave shit needs to stop. Its there to save time (i.e. Make more money) so banks needs to stop charging for the privilege.3 points

I'd say it's all over for the Gold Coast. I mean it's not like any particular company is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on multiple upgrades or projects or anything like that, so yeah, I'd say all parks will close in the coming weeks....2 points

Even if it is within guidelines, its a shitty, deceitful thing to do and who ever came up with it needs the sack. Rounding up for no nothing, what an embarrassment. You know what too, The prices in the parks all used to end with 95cents, now it's 99cents. That miserable little manoeuvre is your credit card fees taken care of, your product is fun, stop needlessly pissing people off!1 point

When I was at school you didn't get rewarded for good attendance. You went to school every day. It was just a given. However there were certainly punishments if you didn't attend!1 point

@downunder196 & @Santa07 It's pretty obvious they are trying to make it realistic to the comics...1 point

The memberships are so cheap, so I can understand why the price of lockers isn't included. Perhaps adding free lockers to one of the higher levels of membership and raising the price a tiny bit would be a good idea?1 point

Wrong... completely wrong... Cash & eftpos (savings/cheque) has no surcharge. Pressing credit, or using paywave (which processes payments as a credit transaction) brings an attributed processing charge depending under your card provider (it's not a fixed fee, it's a % of the total purchase cost) Movieworld (like most big business these days) uses an integrated POS system. You can't forget to press EFTPOS because then it wouldn't activate the EFTPOS terminal to pay. The POS system speaks directly to the terminal, as opposed to user input where the cashier types in the amount to be paid. This takes user error out of the equation. It's either a intentional or accidental software issue.1 point

Would seem a bit silly to build a coaster 4 feet short of reaching hyper status no?1 point

Great to see they are starting to enclose the main Tornado of The Perfect Storm! Thanks for finding & sharing that for us, @TomiJ! Also, I like how ProSlide has a model of Jamberoo's Funnel Web/The Perfect Storm combination (minus the enclosure of The Perfect Storm's main Tornado) at the IAAPA Attractions Expo: Image: Theme Park Review1 point

Everyone is sad, everyone is shocked, but in time you will get over it, as will everyone. That's meant in no disrespect for the families & friends of those lost, but as a reality. At some point, life forces you to move forward and leave things behind. Not forget, but no longer dwell. if it truly has effected you as much as you constantly post about @POP, then you should speak with your GP and get some help - that's not a dig at you, that's a sincere suggestion1 point

Most people on social media saying "too soon", and "they shouldn't open til the coronial inquest is finalised". To them I say - there is no rule for this, or precedent. No matter what day or week they chose to re-open, they would have copped slack for it. And, if you want to keep a business that employs 600 people closed for potentially upwards of a year, you are impacting livelihoods, and causing widespread disruption & impacts for the entire Gold Coast. Reactionary, short-sighted and stupid imo.1 point

That is great that DW are opening there gates again and as mentioned by @ClassifiedLlama earlier, Dreamworld have been amazing donating every dime they make on Friday to the families of the victims and working with the detectives closely to find out what happened yesterday afternoon. Even know that what ever Dreamworld do it will not change what has happened they deserve some respect for what there currently doing.1 point

Dreamworld' future remains unknown, so why don't we discuss the uncertain future of this theme park or maybe the whole industry!-1 points
