  1. Since some of us are stuck in quarantine, so here is something interesting. I was looking through some park maps of Dreamworld and I stumbled across the map from November/December of last year. I then found a truckload of mistakes on the map that sometimes is hard to believe that Dreamworld would literally miss it. I wonder how many people got confused over the park map since it was peak time. Fortunately most of these mistakes has been fixed. This list is also most likely incomplete so I will add if I discover more. So there is two 60s? All of these facades had been demolished. These rides are moderate thrill rides not mild. The Full of Beans cafe (L) and Tower of Terror (3)/(H) are both permanently closed The cafe (I) is closed Tail Spin has a height limit of 200cm The Giant Drop is part of Gold Rush not Main Street Opps.... a little typo I’m sure that the Koala Photos are a pay to use attraction... I thought HWSW has a g force of 3... Why is there a random “40” with no description of it? The Hot Dog Stand (N), V8 (46)and the Between the Flags store (T) are all closed and the Hair Braids thing (S) has moved. I thought “59” was The Shell?

  2. Be careful! You might kill Skeets wife like I did the other day.

  3. Thought I would create a topic in case anyone wanted to discuss or share photos of former attractions or shows from the parks ( Corkscrew, Bermuda Triangle, Gremlins etc) or talk about how the parks could incorporate elements of former attractions into their future attractions etc Meanwhile, I recently discovered this image of an actor portraying “Rodney” in PASS. It seems the stuntman would travel under the set via tunnel to get from the toolshed to the main building. ( Source: Youtube)

  4. Whilst I am may not have agreed with all Skeet said the other day, there is zero place anywhere let alone on a forum like this for making light or jokes of people’s family members dying. grow up.

  7. I did say most of them had been fixed. This was just a flashback to last year.

  8. I have noticed mistakes on them before, but never looked at it in detail and wow that’s a lot of mistakes. While they should definitely fix all those mistakes, most of them aren’t that major for general day guests to notice or they won’t majorly effect someone’s day I have always wondered why they show the Giant Drop on Main Street, but listed under Rocky Hollow (which it is actually a part of)

  9. It wasn’t the dipping dots guy who told you this, was it?

  10. To be fair, periodic maintenance (weekly, monthly, semi annual, etc) is really based on Cycles for the most part, not time (unless it's shelf life of things like Oils etc) so if the rides aren't running, maintenance intervals do push out.

  11. Also the new government regulations regarding amusement devices and their maintenance aren't affected by Covid. If the ride isn't operating and the park is closed but plans to re-open, they still need to complete their mandated 6 monthly and yearly maintenance

  12. @YLFATEEKS, It probably wasn't plastic, because as you said, metal formwork is the usual option. I didn't get close enough to have a proper look at them. But some did have timber studs around the ones which had concrete poured inside.

  13. From what I could see when I was there, was they aren't concrete footers at the back, and some were stacked on top of each other, or laying on the ground. They just seemed to be plastic pipe that is being used for the concrete to be poured inside of. Some that were closer to the road had concrete inside them.

  14. Drilling is getting closer to GL now, and quite large holes have been dug with plenty of steal reinforcements in place. Drilling has also moved closer to AOS, along the main road, as well as diggers appearing on the other side of the lake, near the GL queue line (where footings were spotted)

  15. When walking through the queue area of GL, I had a look through the fence back at the area on the side of the stream where we'd spotted markers, and there are a lot more than I first though. At least a dozen, maybe even two dozen could be seen.

  18. I agree, I don't think there is anything wrong with the fence around GL, and at least they added some sort of theming (the lantern on top of the posts) around it that had the green glow to them at night.

  19. Quick update for the day. Plenty of holes are being dug/drilled. Some of the reinforcing steal was being welded. And the trees have been cut next to GL. And as mentioned there are pegs in this area near GL, as well as on the other side of the creek.
