  1. Rubbish cycle. They can do a lot better than that! At least give us a Pandamonium type situation.

  2. I do wonder, are they perhaps going easy to 'run it in' so to speak?

  4. Cannot confirm personally but I have been advised that a rocking tug ride is currently in the park. This might be a new permanent addition. Some possibly bad news, however. Ride removals might not be over yet. I predicted months ago about three rides leaving the park. Two have left the park already. One remains.

  5. A second launched coaster? Right next to the first one? I think it would be a terrible replacement. They need something they haven't done before.

  6. B&M Dive to replace Arkham confirmed? Lol!

  7. What would peoples thoughts be if they dismantled Arkham and replaced it with a temp ride or 2 like what they did with Sky Flyer at seaworld for the 2-3 years while they finalise the ride and wait for the build time themeing of the new ride would be minimal, even at VRTP standards to keep unrequired costs down. They mean Sliders. VRTP have reviewed Wet n Wild and decided that it really needs new food outlets, and sliders are the best option. Water slides at a water park aren't actually required.

  8. I wouldn't describe Mack as affordable. These days there's essentially no daylight between them and say Intamin or B&M in terms of price. B&M have been on the radar of Australian parks for quite some time now. They pitched for Rivals and have been on the list for AA's "billboard coaster" replacement. Price might have been a factor in the past but it isn't why we haven't seen one here yet. Not entirely sure the criteria "must please enthusiasts" and "will have a significant impact on attendance and revenue" are actually different. Certainly the attractions our parks have built in the past decade or two that didn't please enthusiasts also didn't have a lasting impact on profitability, and conversely those that are beloved did. Scooby, Superman, Rivals versus Motocoaster, Doomsday or Buzzsaw... there's a reason our parks are happily dropping $30+ million on great coasters now.

  9. Didn't they run colossus backwards for a while too?

  10. It's not really the worlds first backwards wooden coaster though as claimed, what about Racer and Rebel Yell? They both ran one side backwards.

  11. I agree. The park hasn't said anything, so we can just make up and assume what we want and that's the park's fault.

  12. I went to Luna Park today and noticed Ranger's loading platform and the box around the motor are gone. It has also been removed from the map on the park's website while Tumble Bug remains.

  13. I'm pretty sure it was created for this tape. It has some great footage.
