  2. If they don't sell a "Big Dipper Pretzel" promo food item there is something wrong.

  3. Any questions? No, let's move on.šŸ˜‚ Currently Parkz has everything listed as a theme park which is not correct. It would be good if Parkz had more categories and it was the Parkz members who decided what went where.

  4. Agreed. Lumping everything under "theme park" or "ride" has largely been done for expediency and this terminology is slowly being replaced across the site in favour of "attraction". But members can indeed submit changes/additions to the database and there's currently nine categories for parks to choose from, including both theme and amusement.

  5. I feel that they should -- and I take issue with this being regarded as unimportant!

  6. Im hearing from the entertainment industry that everyone that bumped in at Ekka is getting paid in full. Anyone know if anything has been done for the Showies? Do they pay the Ekka or does the Ekka pay them?

  7. I don't think it would be neat to watch ST break before the twists.

  8. On a different note, rising up the tower on the east side of GD while ST runs out the brake run and into the twisted horseshoe roll would look pretty neat...

  10. That’s great @@Richard, but I do have a ā€œbutā€ If I submit a change, the decision of my change falls on one person. Adventure World currently shows as a Theme Park, but you can clearly see in the poll taken most Parkz members don’t believe it to be so. If I submit a change for Adventure World would the change happen if the boss didn't believe it to be so?

  11. The Germans have a better word, freizeitpark which literally means "Free time park" so no ambiguity there.

  12. Not really. In Australia, theme park pretty much means 'Big Amusement park where parts of the park have a different vibe to other parts'. The only park that doesn't fit that is WWW and I think that checks out. WnW sees itself as a water theme park, and by my own loose definition it works, and puts the WWW = water park V wnw = theme park thing into explainable context. The point is that its an arbitrary definition, and by international standards, an amusement park is a theme park here. Always has been, probably always will be. Given that you can do almost whatever in Australia and it counts as a theme park. Just do a quality job and at scale and you're doing great.
