  1. The ECC has members of all ages – including quite a few in their seventies. For the Australia tour the demographic is skewed a bit towards our older members, given that younger people can't generally afford to drop $10K AUD on a coaster trip, no matter how much that they'd like to

  2. Looks like VRTP’s marketing people are up to their usual tricks on TPW’s Instagram. Did you guys know Scooby Doo is “Australia’s most iconic coaster”? 😂

  10. The European Coaster Club is in town. They had ERT on Abyss. The park also organised lockers for them. There were about 75 on the tour. They left the park at 2pm and are now on their way to Melbourne.

  12. Yeah it was close and they didn’t want it there. Mostly because it was shit and ugly. That doesn’t mean there is some rule that rides can’t be close together 🤦‍♂️ Also we do realise half the stuff DW say is total BS marketing spin right?

  13. They wouldn't be a proximity rule beyond your typical clearance envelope requirements or else how would Luna Park Sydney exist with its rides so close together? I think the only proximity they are talking about is visual proximity since you had an older ride with low ridership blocking the view of the brand new ST.

  14. Using a little bit of Google Maps 'measure distance' & crude editing, so it's far from irrefutable proof/evidence, but the actual ride envelope could only fit in there if 1 or 2 of Superman's footers are within it, but including entrance & exit lines it's nigh on impossible

  15. Happy to be wrong/against the grain on this one. To me it’s simply a flat ride. My personal definition, or the way I apply it, doesn’t see Surf Rider as a coaster. In saying that I also did not see Tower of Terror as a coaster despite its featured lending to that classification. I know what I think means jack all however.
