  1. Planks of wood can be used for things other than roller-coasters, just FYI. I hear houses are built from them and stuff.

  4. @Jamberoo Fan stop overthinking everything. they're not going to add an extra level of parking on the ground floor of their hotel. it would be ugly, and there would be no benefit to the hotel guests. even if they did, view the hotel as it's own little precinct. the hotel operators aren't going to want 'general public' disturbing their guests even if they did, they aren't going to allow places to be reserved \ paid for even if they did, few people would pay to park at the far end of the carpark (even if bad weather was forecast... if you expect bad weather that will damage your car, you probably won't go to a theme park) Mate you make some really thoughtful and insightful predictions and speculations, but fuck me sometimes you just take it to the extremely ludicrous. You make so many predictions and speculations about things we might as well just conclude here and now that you forecast, predicted or otherwise estimated that everything would happen at some point between now and the end of the world.

  5. Best advice for everyone reading these forums who are into roller-coasters is to be cool about educating your non-enthusiast friends and family on things like this i.e. stopping on the lift hill is a totally mundane, routine safety mechanism and can happen over something as silly as someone getting their phone out mid-ride.

  7. That would be like building a 10 floor car park under your house and saying you live in a 11 storey tower...

  8. That was me and my son at PC a couple weeks back. just meant I got to hear the bad gags before everyone else in the crowd, gags which likely didn't translate to anything funny anyway...

  9. The word theme park seems to be used to describe everything. I feel better calling it a themed attraction focused on the Asian market. This reminded me when I went to the sheep shearing show at DW and I was the only Aussie in the audience. I almost was the one that needed the translator.

  10. Maybe I should have added SeaWorld to my previous post regarding the combination of parks...

  11. I can read it fine. Have another drink Anyhow if it was to go underground I'd expect the pit do be done with the rest of the ground work and there has been no evidence of that. P.S. Drink responsibly

  14. Yeah it's going to be themed after Wendell Sailor, a rather famous Torres Strait islander, and dual international winger. Wendell Sailor's Wing Coaster will be the world's first wooden wing coaster and is bound to thrill his world wide legion of fans. In all seriousness, who knows where Dreamworld's plans are at now, I think they'd be happy to open again. That major coaster down the road might really shift the competitive dynamics with MW.

  15. Sure thing... Pretty much every single El Loco has a customised drop, with the angle increased on almost every version built to try to keep beating the steepest drop record... until Takabisha anyway. 16. ...might be referring to the train track? To get back on topic, yeah I'm with @Slick. I'm smitten with RMC's work atm, especially the new elements they bring to woodies in zero G rolls, 180 stalls and the 90 degree banked straights. Not sure if they're keeping Gold Rush, so don't know the feasibility of an RMC running there and into Blue Lagoon.

  17. Probably build a bridge and get over it. Get it? Because there's a creek. I'm so funny I make myself laugh sometimes.

  18. Surely Dreamworld has enough roller coasters. I'd like to see them move the investment focus towards dark rides, and exciting fun interactive walk through experiences. Things that would make Dreamworld live up to its name, by making you feel like you are in a dream!
