  1. That is very nice that he took time to respond directly, but more importantly agreed with you on the choice of music. These are the subtle unquantifiable items that make a huge subliminal impact on guest experience.

  2. In regards to the awful pop music that was playing at the park entrance and around the flyer recently, I emailed in my feedback direct to dreamworld. I initially received the usual “thanks for your feedback, we’ve passed it on the the relevant team”, however I was followed up this morning with an email straight from Greg Young. He thanked me for the feedback, and said that he shared my thoughts on the music and they have since reverted back to the classic/Disneyland style Main Street music. He also said they still have a few more things to touch up and complete at the front of the park that they are currently working on. Interested to know what that means? Anyways I thought that was worth sharing. If it’s worth complaining about on here, then perhaps it’s worth sending in the feedback. It’s clear that they listen and appreciate enthusiasts feedback 😊 I also noted several comments while lining up for the flyer about how quick the lines moved compared to the competition down the road! Yes it is a people eater with the number of seats, but regardless that’s some good customer feedback heading into the Christmas school holidays!

  3. With Dreamworld opening dreamland and River town under construction, It couldn't hurt to start guessing what will come next when they come to invest in the next major CAPEX projects. Below is some ideas I had for what I think could help the parks lineup moving forward. Stage 2 River town: - 2025 MDMC rethemed with new spinning trains to make it more comfortable and to suit the theme of river town. The paddle Wheeler re opens (Super wishful thinking, with the park focusing on going back under that nostalgia route you never know) Then I believe a log flume or Chute the Chutes in the back half of Ocean Parade with a Mack Twist N Splash attraction to fix and bring life to the back half of ocean parade. (This would take up the old trolls and Flow rider land). The Mack Twist N Splash could even go in Wipeouts spot if required, if not needed a flat ride could go there in 2027. - 2026 Following this the park would need another major thrilling flat ride (Maybe a Mondial Ventura). Either in Wipeout's plot, Buzzsaw's plot, or even closer to the old log flume plot. -2027 Large thrilling roller coaster - 2028 Curious what people think or predict might come next?

  4. Sea World have posted they are open, but the updates page on the website says they aren’t 🤦‍♂️ They’ll probably just remove that shelter for now until they can get a replacement to get the park open. They’ve got a massive team, so it can be impressive how much they can get done in a day

  5. Absolutely think that Dreamworld should turn their attention on Motocoaster next. It badly needs a retheme and new trains to better fit in with the Rivertown them close by. I doubt they would opt for spinning cars however. They would be the best option and would really bring something to the ride for sure. Even if they heavily rethemed the entire layout, added in some enclosed sections and gave the ride generic straddle quad bike trains with similar restraints to Jet Rescue and this would still be a far better ride for it. Paddle steamer- I can definitley see the need for it but I think its a very small chance of it happening. A water coaster or a well themed log flume with indoor and well themed sections should happen before any new coaster. This should be the priority for mine after the Moto coaster retheme. As for flats I think Dreamworld needs something unique and different from what is already out there in the Australian theme park landscape. The reason Wipeout was so beloved and iconic was because there was nothing else like it in Australia at the time it was installed. Give the punters something that is good to ride, that is going to leave a positive impression but one that they can only get at Dreamworld and will leave them wanting to come back for more. Wipeout did that for the entirety of its lifespan and was why it was so successful. These would all be excellent contenders in my opinion. From RES - The Oracle Also from RES The Sunseeker From Fabbri Rides- The Spider From Fabbri Rides again The InControl A well themed one of these would make an excellent Family thrill installation Then again, how long before we see one of these in Australia? Or one of these? Or if we want to play with nostalgia lets have the updated Reef Diver II Incidentally , RES have done some great versions of flume rides and Rapid rides and they also have a a great concept for a Water coaster that Dreamworld could do wonders with a custom layout...... https://ride-engineers.com/rides/water-coaster/ Plenty of options for Dreamworld to play with. Great topic!! Looking forward to hearing other ideas!

  6. I'm very surprised they have called it already... There is another storm on the way.

  7. Yeah they are shockers at communication sometimes. The “download to stay up to date app” still says it’s business as usual.

  8. Would a Mondial Avalanche be seen as too similar to the Claw and not worth while investment when there are so many other flat rides out there? I know its very different but with a park with a limited amount of flat rides be seen as too similar?

  9. Nobody is taking their kids to DW for a free acid trip. Hopefully they fix the lights soon.

  10. Absolutely right! Which is why it is just such a shame all that whimsy is erased by running that god awful lighting sequence which makes it look like a piece of tacky carnival crap. I just can’t understand why you’d go to all that effort with the extra detailing, lovely buildings, fountain, etc and then balls it at the finish line with those lights.

  11. I thought it was fun. Seemed popular too. Yes its just a wave swinger, but I think just adding the fountains and music give it a bit more love than a standard one and a touch of whimsy.

  12. "Past few" Yeah sure two of their biggest post-2016 additions have been delivered years after their original opening timeline. This isn't even discounting stuff like giant drop's renovation which was pushed back consistently as well. Bit of a recency bias showing here.
